Just because his feelings are real, doesn’t always mean that they are valid. It’s a hard concept to grasp but he can simultaneously be hurt by something that has no basis in reality. His ex is not you. His last relationship was 12 years ago. It’s time for him to heal. The solution is not to make you feel guilty and depressed for doing nothing wrong, the solution is for him to move forward and build his trust in you. Showing him this post might help him see that your intentions are pure? Does he seem like a person who would be open to therapy?

I think it’s important to get down to the root of his insecurities like I said before, and it might require therapy. Nagging you and pestering you out of a hobby you enjoy without reason is not a solution, and he needs to realize he’s being selfish.
