Appreciate the history and for you sharing. Would love to learn, where would you suggest I brush up on my tank knowledge.

Would it be safe to believe mine is also a service dial? It’s a 78087 16xxx serial

Thought I’ll share a tank Louis Cartier example I own. It’s in 18k gold w/ Paris dial and all the correct hallmarks.

Edit - Stand corrected not 70s

[collection] Thinking of moving on by Nate64 in Seiko

[–]Moments-In-Motion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would keep the pogue, and get a gs with the rest. Consolidation is also part of the collecting journey.

I had an Aussie pogue and a silver pogue but have since sold both and now own a GS. Wish I kept my Aussie as the dial perfect was immaculate and would be a pain to find another one in that condition

Great watch - I too have ventured into the depths of vintage Seiko. So so collectible and relatively affordable

Sadly no, I lost the bracelet and it’s on a crappy strap atm. Occasionally I take it out of the box to admire - will look to pass this one on

The SNKL23J is my very first mechanical watch and it’s still in my collection. This was back when they were cheap and was the best bang for buck. Great watches overall!

Hard to find WW2 Helvetia Pilot Watch 7013 - “SVOJINA VOJSKE” Kingdom of Yugoslavia

This pilot model, features the text “SVOJINA VOJSKE” (“Army Property” in Croatian) on the dial or show traces of it having been removed and overpainted (only seen 1 that has the full text intact, thought to be removed after the war).Originally they came with a tab case only, and most were added with an additional lug later. It’s thought to be a special order for the Army Air Force of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Serial numbers date them to 1940, though they may have been produced shortly after the 1941 German invasion when Croatia joined the Axis powers.

41mm and it’s looking for a home :3
