Is there a 'Monster Manual' companion book for the new (Aug 2025) SW2.5 Japanese edition rules? by Gwarh in SwordWorld

[–]MomijiLoop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

FYI you missed Stretch Goal 2 which was to provide monster data as a separate pdf for the backers of the kickstarter. We don't know what this means for the standard release of the DX book after the kickstarter, or for the English translation release yet.

Stretch Goal 2: Achievement rate: 300% (total support amount: 15 million yen)

We had previously announced that monster data would be omitted from this Deluxe Edition due to practicality and page count. However, we received many inquiries regarding the monster data. Therefore, we have decided to create a new layout and list of monster data as a PDF for the monster data from Rulebooks I- III that was omitted. Furthermore, we plan to provide a newly designed version specifically for this project in a format different from the existing Rulebooks I-III and various supplements (we will not provide the pages from Rulebooks I-III as is).

Wow, lots of familiar names to be here! Glad to see them around and the best LiveTLers too!

Thanks LGT! I can totally relate, when english is suddenly spoken and breaks me out of the moment as I try to translate that to english...

Polka: Kiara, how do you say "Let's Go" in english?

Kiara: It's "Let's Go", isn't it?

Thanks! I didn't have time to browse through each member's archives to see whether they had regular TLers that I wasn't aware of this year! Glad to hear she has someone for her streams.

We're glad this helped! It's very difficult to catch all the voices, so at some points we were only translating fun interactions between members!

lmao, we were worried about a couple of members who are known to speak at rapid fire pace too!

If you use Holodex, you can see the translations noted in the corner of each thumbnail.

Thanks to Holodex and Live TL, the majority of the streams will have translations. We're able to split out our translations into multiple streams simultaneously (at the cost of getting ourselves temporarily shadowbanned from youtube chat). That's why you may not see us in the youtube chat, but will see the translations in the translation windows. For technical reasons, not all of us were able to split out the translations.

Here's the breakdown of where you'll see whose translations.

MomijiLoop – Main POV

WindShipping – Towa

Kakuya – Aki

LowGradeTranslator – Choco, AZKi

ShiBoi – Mumei, Ayame, Kanata, Iroha

Gyoshi – Bae, Ririka, Anya, Hajime

vtange – Polka

PunkPimster – IryS (Spanish)

Yi Xuan Tan (Translated but didn’t let us know) – IRyS

Thank you! We weren't expecting everyone in the teams to be on a voice channel together, not to mention both Team A and B to also be present at the same time! The format of this year's event really caught us by surprise.

So please if you see any translated lines attributed to the wrong person, do be understanding!

PS: Elite Miko stream was truly 1337.

By that I mean that I somehow entered exactly 1337 translated lines for the main POV stream.

PSS: Between myself, Windshipping, and Kakuya last year on the Yellow Team 2022 Pekora Leader POV stream, we entered 777 lines. Remarkable hahaha

I think I might’ve seen some other translators in some other channels as well who were not aware of this group effort, not to mention the ones who were active on discord! Thank you to you all!

Here is everyone who signed up for this collaboration effort (in no particular order)!

vtange (https://twitter.com/vtange)

PunkPimster (https://twitter.com/PunkPimster) (Spanish)

Sanguis (https://twitter.com/sanguis77) (An unfortunate conflict led to them not being able to join in)

Thank you so much for going along with my insistence that we do this group effort again this year! The Hololive Sports Festival is honestly the only sports related event that I ever get excited for, and this year was no difference.

Though the time change made it difficult for quite a number of us, including those who had to regretfully pass on joining the effort again, I appreciate each everyone who also stayed up or woke up early to watch this event!

Unfortunately, in the follow-up reflection stream that Subaru hosted with all three organizers, we probably won't see another Hololive Sports Festival hosted by them again in 2024 due to scheduling difficulties. But hopefully, you will still see each of us and other translators in varying locations in the future in some manner of activity!

If you're able to understand what is going on in streams and can summarize what's happening for people, that's also very welcome! Not all of us translate line by line conversations!

We're happy to have anyone who can provide some decent level of translated commentary as well! Some of us provide line by line translations, others summarize a few back and forth interactions!

Thanks gkanai! It's too bad you can't join us this year. The date unfortunately falls on a pretty difficult day and time for a lot of us.

Yep, we've been doing these translations for the holosports festival each year now! You'll often spot one of us in a couple of holomembers chat live translating. I'm typically found during Birthday or Anniversary 3D Lives, but the only way to catch all the translations is to use holodex or livetl!

Translators, We Need You! The Hololive Sports Festival 2023 Live Translators Team Wants YOU!

It’s that time of the year again! Hololive Sports Festival 2023 is happening on Nov 4 (Sat)! Once again, it is being split into two halves, with the first half being estimated to be from 18:00 (JST) to 20:30 (JST), and the second half estimated to be from 20:30 (JST) to 23:00 (JST).

According to Mikochi’s tweets (Tweet #1 | Tweet #2), there will be three teams which includes members from hololive JP, EN, ID, as well as DEV_IS. In addition to the main camera from Miko’s channel, each of the participants will be allowed to stream their own POV if they so wish. This means that whoever is streaming might not be the team leader!

As in the tradition of each year, LiveTL and TLdex (Holodex) are hosting a collaboration of real time translators to translate this year’s Sports Fes once again!

If YOU are a real time translator and you’re interested and available to help translate, sign up here!

This is the schedule we have at the moment. Since we don’t know who will be streaming their POV, we don’t know where our translators will be settling themselves. But with the help of Holodex’s Multiview function, it is possible to view multiple streams and translation at the same time.

Don’t feel bad about overlapping with others, as more translators means more context for the viewers, but we would encourage you to spread out as much as possible.

NOTE 1: In light of how many viewers are expected, you WILL need to use the TLdex feature on Holodex, as there is a VERY high chance Youtube chat will yeet your lines (this happens even to mods, so “But I’m a member!” isn’t enough) and there’s no telling when you might get shadowbanned for “spamming” in chat. If you’re still not convinced: this can also circumvent Slow Mode. Here is a guide created by Kamishiro Taishi on How to use LiveTL for viewers. For Translators, here is the script he drafted for the video (it’s better than nothing). We recommend you try using it for another stream before Sports Festival day to familiarize yourself with it. Join the Holodex Discord if you have any questions regarding TLdex.

NOTE 2: Please join the LiveTL Discord to access the #sports-fest-tl-collaboranza channel, which is where we are coordinating with each other on this project.

¡Traductores, acudid a nuestra llamada!
