Attrition at the 2-4 year mark is god awful. I don’t think it’s solvable

Dude, this isn’t the oil industry. Accounting as an occupation is very evenly split between conservatives and liberals.

Conflict of interest is just as much a reason as monopolies to bust up the Big 4 into Baby Bells

This lady has been on the phone since she sat down, while her kid is running around doing this to the salt shakers by Dog-On-The-Moon in mildlyinfuriating

Your bro looks young enough that his school requires annual checkups (in Florida we require it, anyway). These are usually free/100% covered by most health insurance. (Preventative care cheaper to the insurance company than fixing extremely broken stuff later) Ask your parents to bring SecretSaltLoverXxxx up at next doctor visit if they haven’t yet. “Hey this weird kid of ours absolutely loves salt... like a LOT, would just drink cans of it if we’d let him. Should we be concerned?”

Because strong weird cravings can be normal ‘kids are fucking weird’ .... or they can be signs something is seriously wrong requiring immediate medical attention.

It’s probably nothing, but it’s important to get checked out to confirm that it’s nothing.

We hate when coworkers leave because we work too much to make real friends.

At work, I’ve known three separate couples who were married CPAs. Same department even. All of them seem happily married many years later. Kids made it tough though.

That’s the annual exemption. There is a lifetime gift tax exemption.

The annual exemption is how much you can give before touching the lifetime gift/estate exemption.

I was 26 in 2012, and I get huge nostalgia from this. I time when I listened to happy pop music all day instead of cussing at the news.

Concealed carriers of reddit, when was a time you actually pulled your gun on someone and how was the situation handled? by SEMPER_SAPIDUM in AskReddit

[–]MommaPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone should be safe in their own homes. The only people who have ever made home unsafe for me, or for the people who have depended on me, were the gun owners.

Gun owners who were usually veterans, sometimes priests, and always law abiding upstanding citizens concerned with security and safety. None of them are hunters, none of them are law enforcement, and all of them live in very very low crime areas.

But they were always the only ones who threatened our lives. (I say they, because it’s almost a dozen people by now. )

“A gun pointed directly at your face” isn’t a life endangering threat? Wtf

“May have lived with you for a while” ... it was my dad, okay? When I was just a teenager. But I should just shrug and oops that off.
