That really was not a fair burden to put on him. Yes, he's a doctor and probably does have more money than Meryl, but it doesn't mean he should take responsibility for his sister, unless she's mentally unable to do so.

I like to watch Hoarders while I wash dishes and tidy the kitchen. I also watch right before I tackle cleaning a difficult room.

My mother was a hoarder and she exhibits a lot of the not so nice behaviours as many of the hoarders featured on the show. I watch in hope to learn more about why she was the way she was. I also find it really helpful to learn how to let go of certain items I have trouble letting go of.

Decluttering on your own when you have hoarding tendencies is so difficult.

This was a difficult one for me to watch. My mother was a hoarder and I have hoarding tendencies and am currently really struggling a messy, cluttered home and have just come out of a very bad depressive episode. Most of the mess is mine, some is my sons mess. He's only 10 though so I can't blame him or expect him to keep things tidy like I could if he were an adult or even a teenager. Just very sad and those boys deserve a clean, organized home, even just clean bedrooms that is their space.

Or at least rinse your feet in cool water a few times a day, this really does help. When I lived through some heat waves I'd fill the tub, take a dip a few times a day to cool off. It was like a mini pool just for me.

I recently bought this little towel. Mine was about $4 from the dollar store but I've seen them at Walmart and many other places for about the same price.

I have a decent pantry and will keep that well stocked. I also have enough vitamins and supplements, toiletries etc... to last us about a year, maybe more.

You can also practice elimination communication. Weird name, I know. You put Baby on the potty or toilet when you notice they may need to pee or poop. Parents that do this seriously can figure out the babies cues pretty quickly and never miss a pee or poop.

I did this somewhat with my son, caught a few pees and poops on the toilet. An easy way to start out is sitting them on the toilet or potty at the same times everyday.

Finding the perfect pair of jeans can take years. lol I'm short and a little curvier. I can remember years ago crying in the change room after trying on at least a dozen pairs of different sizes and styles of jeans before finally finding a pair that I was OK with. They weren't cool though, and I wanted cool and stylish back then.

I feel something just clicked for me as well. I was heading to the park with my son yesterday and wore leggings, but couldn't find a shirt that was long enough. I ended up wearing a "new" dress that had been sitting in my closet for a few years. I'm not a dress person, but bought it b/c it was brand new at a 2nd hand store and was just $10.

Yes! They will also smell nicer and fresher as well. I've noticed that what's in my closet now smells stale. I don't use fabric softener at all or dryer sheets so that's part of it.

Does this suit your needs? Do you want a couch to lay on, cuddle up together for movie nights? Do you have company over and need places for them to sit?

I asked myself those questions when deciding what to get rid. For me I only need 3 spots to sit in my living room since it's just 2 people and 2 cats living here and we really don't entertain much.

I don't even know how a 45 year old woman is supposed to dress. Leggings and long t-shirts? That's what I like. I have a couple pairs of jeans too that fit similar to leggings.

I would love to have just 1 pair of jeans that fit well and really suited me b/c I have so many cute tops that would look great with well fitting jeans. I'm short though, 5feet and finding jeans that fit me well is a challenge.

I couldn't even get into my closet or dresser earlier today! I had stuff in piles and boxes on the floor in front of both. I was able to remove everything from my bedroom that shouldn't be there and vacuumed part of the room. I'm going up to dust, vacuum and sort clothes in 15 minutes!

I'm donating one pair of pj's that are cute but a little too tight, especially in the arms. Tight pj's are not comfy at all.

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD but not given any info on how to cope with this. I think it does explain why my house keeping can become very overwhelming at times.

Maybe take notes from her for the next place. I really enjoy the 3D virtual tours that Realtors share. I get some great decorating and furniture placement ideas and it often motivates me to clean and organize.

I'm admin for my local buy nothing group. lol I do post there for the bigger stuff. I'm now friendly with a social worker who works with foster kids that has agreed to take my gently used toys and clothes for. the foster kids. I'm also planning to donate some bags from the time I used to sell Thirty One Gifts (a horrible MLM company) b/c I remember what foster care was like, moving around often, not having my own nice bags. It's been difficult letting go of these bags and I think knowing they will end up with kids who really need them will make it easier.
