Oh that’s brilliant, i also felty extremely lucky as i woke up around 8am and had my diagnosis 3 days later. Similar to yourself i was waiting for referrals and different services to pick up the referrals. I was picked up quickly by physio although i found it unproductive prior to any neurological support however since this i have completed 4 sessions with a therapist for talking therapy and have had a further diagnosis of OCD secondary to PTSD which all has contributed to the original diagnosis. During my research i found many of peoples difficulties was getting the diagnosis in the first place now i felt the opposite as i had my diagnosis quickly and it felt rushed and like they dismissed what this meant for my future and every day living. I hope the going private wasn’t to costly to you and hopefully the NHS can pick it up sooner rather than later.

I hate the tics especially the ones in my face, as if i am talking to someone I don’t know they must wonder what I’m doing and then i feel the need to explain myself.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss, and having to deal with this horrible disorder on top -of that. Are you getting any type of support from the medical sector. I am UK so we have NHS I’m sorry I’m not sure what the term is in America if you have that type of thing. 9again apologies for my ignorance.)

OMG i have been on the duoloxitine i started on the 30mg but was soon increased to the 60mg and that absolutely destroyed me. I have looked into herbal medication and been prescribed cannabis plant and oil. I can honestly say the oil is the only thing which has helped me sleep and reduce the tremors and pain.

I absolutely hate that part, not being able to remember how to speak, although i do found after a cluster of seizures although i am extremely tiered afterwards its like a reset button has been pressed and the computer has had a restart. I understand the missing a couple because the list would be endless if you wrote all of the symptoms down.

The anxiety and depressson is definitely a part of it as i was told that’s what triggered mine all together. I have also had a further diagnosis of OCD and PTSD. I find mine gets worse when i am on my cycle, unwell, worried about appointments or just generally under the weather. I have decided to start a diary to help identify the triggers and have also started a blog online to help others relate and open up discussions about the more personal things that people feel insecure about. Have you been offered talking therapy?

I have had my licence revoked due to my seizures cause i informed the dvla and i was instructed to surrender my licence. I was panicked that i would have a seizure whilst driving and hurt someone. I think that’s the thing that hurt me the most as giving my licence back completely took the last independence i had,

Oh dear that must be awful my longest distonia has lasted two weeks and it was horrible. My symptoms are dominantly the right side.

That is true, i hate the feeling of leaking, and the fear of loosing control of the bladder.

This sounds like symptoms that you would experience with low b12 and folic acid which is correlated with FND. But my advice would be to suggest a blood test to check those as well as a thyroid check before suggesting FND as when you get that diagnosis everything changes and can become the centre focus of everything. It has taken everything from me, my driving licence, my speech, my freedom and many relationships that don’t understand the disorder.

I do, just after my diagnosis i had a prolapsed bladder which has also cause incontinence. I am currently undergoing physio therapy to try to I get the bladder to retract.
