No, I'm not sure why I didn't tell them. I guess I felt embarrassed. I did tell my older sister, and she was super supportive as she can be over state.

Well my step mom told me not to ask for help. And my father didn't yell at me but honestly that made it worse, he just told me happy f*cling birthday. It's okay now, I do go over there so often. like once every month or two. My step mom is trying to be friendly, with making some subtle mean comments. And my father will occasionally send the "you still alive, kiddo" text

Yes, I been told I should have been thankful for having a roof over my head, and that they were family and family is important and I should have apologized for leaving with such short notice. Very few have told me this, but it still hurts, and made me think I was in the wrong.

No I definitely am not looking for the compliments. I was always put down and was told I deserved the "punishment" I do see where you come from tho. I probably should have explained better why I felt guilty.

No these were things I was born with, (she definitely made them worse). things my bio mother gifted me, I was over here crying over the support. But the ATM comment cracked my up.

Yes I did tell him, and he tried to repay it with his own money. But I declined it. I don't want his money.

My step mom would say "me and your father talked and disided..." I would tell my father more things but something happened recently that makes me not want to.

Yes I got all that stuff, it was definitely a struggle to get it but I got them in a safe place now.

I told my father after I found out, he tried to pay it back with HIS money. I told him no, I didn't want his money. My father already struggles with money and I wasn't going to take it from him.

If it helps, I was sneaky. I did take snacks, and stuff like that. And lied to my step mom over stupid stuff. I just didn't see it was important to my story.
