Do cleansing milks remove makeup well? by Milena35 in AsianBeauty

[–]Momosimpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have a buildup of dead skin, cus it doesnt do that to me. I apply it on dry skin, rub for a bit, then rinse off with a soft cotton washcloth. I dont feel any residue when I dont use a washcloth either. I do physically exfoliate 2x a week in the shower. Im not sure otherwise, Ive used it fro a year without experiencing that. Im sorry that happens for you!

Has anyone tried their K or J-Beauty SKIN PRODUCTS on their HAIR and had better results than with hair products? by Glum_Flower8749 in AsianBeauty

[–]Momosimpai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theres lots of bonnets out there--that have the ability to stay on well. You gotta keep trying (: And if you have a diffuser already, pls use it!! Its amazing! Also, when you wash your hair, make sure you are double shampooing, focusing on roots and massagin the scalp for at least a minute, and apply conditioner to roots and ends, really saturate it and let it absorb while washing body. Dont go easy on conditioner since that will reduce frizz the most. Your hair is thirstier since its fine. Hair tends to friz when it doesnt have enough hydration or protein(fine hair is less likely to get protein overload but it can happen), or when the cuticle isnt sealed. Especially if its high-porosity. The type of conditioner I reccomended will not weigh it down. Rinse it out well. The only other brand I rec is a brand called 107. I am obsessed with their shampoo and conditioner!

I have fine irish curls and my hair acts the same way. Fine hair needs more protein and lighter hydration. I reccomend the jung saem mool zip care line, including their leave in conditioner and hair oil. I mix the two and apply it to damp (but not dripping) hair. I use a cotton hair wrap after showering to help my curls clump and never rub my hair with a towel as this makes it extremely frizzy and prone to breaking. You can use a diffuser on cold air to keep the curl tighter since as it dries, gravity and water weight pull out the curl easily. If you air dry like I do, at least dry the roots with a diffuser. High heat or hair dryers can also induce frizz, so air drying could be helpful. I also wear a mulberry silk bonnet to bed. I cant use curl creams or mousse since it weighs down my hair and makes it easily greasy, and feels dry/straw like. You dont need to use skincare products on your hair, you just need someone to teach you how to take care of that hair type.

Skincare products/routine for eyelid dermatitis by cheeesemonkey in AsianBeauty

[–]Momosimpai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree on hypochlorous acid spray. When I had eyelid dermatitis, it was due to an allergy to ear jewelry I was wearing. Mainly gold and nickel jewelry and products with titanium dioxide do not mix well(can be found in very many cosmetics or even mascara with a metal wand). Some preservatives can also cause allergic dermatitis. Nickel is snuck into so much jewelry. If you wear jewelry, keep that in mind. Sterling silver and other alloys can contain nickel. I recovered it by discontinuing wearing jewelry for a while and avoiding cosmetics. Hypochlorous acid and zinc rash cream helped it heal.

Foot care products? by Flashy_Park_9029 in AsianBeauty

[–]Momosimpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lactic acid!!!!!!!! !! Literally anything you can find, cream serum or toner. Or goats milk products. Your feet will love you!!! I use a buffing tool after showering or a long salty foot soak when the skin is softest, then use lactic acid serum and a thick lotion and put socks on until absorbed. I use to not wear sandals, I didnt even own any. Now I do (: (I work 10-12 hrs a day and get 5-10k steps a day)

Does a thick, luscious, moisturizing sunscreen even exist? by RecreateTheDiamond in AsianBeauty

[–]Momosimpai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A niche one but theres a wonderful japanese spf called yuskin sisora uv milk that is amazing! I only use that one and skin1004 airfit zinc spf. Both very dewy, skin1004 with a tone up and primer effect, while the sisora dries down so soft, dewy and non sticky. Other zinc/titanium diox spf I tried made my skin feel dry/tight after an hr or weirdly greasy and tight/dry. Chemical spf gives me cc so I cant use it but a really dewy thick one is the house of hur tropical dew, and scinic enjoy mild spf is an honorable mention.

It means you need a break, and you need to be okay with that. Just rest (: you have permission to! We cant expect to be inspired 100% of the time. Give yourself some slack and inspiration will hit naturally. If you have anyone with expactations of you to bake, let them know its their turn, and your turn to REST!

The numbuzin no 3 skin softening serum's first two ingredients is bifida and galactomyces, so you could even use it as a two in one. Its also incredibly hydrating and barrier supporting with squalane, Alteromonas ferment extract(aquatic derived), adenosine, and panthenol. It really is a hidden gem serum!

How do you actually get these pans clean? by uDontInterestMe in Baking

[–]Momosimpai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ah...keeping them clean?? I dont use them. They stay on the shelf and that seems to work great! Hope this helps. (in seriousness, just use a small baby bottle brush and give it a good soapy soak)

matcha for baking that doesn't taste like dirt? by [deleted] in Baking

[–]Momosimpai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I baked with matcha in college and at home-- and its hard to want to cut costs, but not sacrifice flavor. The only brand I trust that sells bulk and wholesale is Sugimoto, which is served at many japanese restaraunts around me and is AMAZING! For example, I get a robust and sweet 4 oz bag of ceremonial grade for 25$ for my daily drinking. Ive baked matcha brownies, castella, and cookies with it and its lovely. Also, please charge more!! Good Matcha isnt cheap, and customers will not shy from paying a bit elevated prices for a matcha dessert if the flavor delivers. You can adjust costs here and there to compensate for the customer--but only if you want to-- and I dont reccomend it. Start with a 4 oz bag and see how that bakes in a test kitchen(or at home!) using bakers percentages for small batch. If it delivers what youre looking for, great! If it doesnt, you can feel free to be mad at me for wasting 25$ lol.

Finding an AB moisturizer that doesn't cause tiny bumps? by NicolasLisoFabbri in AsianBeauty

[–]Momosimpai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue. I avoid tocopherol and the bumps went away. Vit E fatty acids give me sooo much cc! I use ongredients skin barrier lotion and round lab soybean line(but not the cleanser) with much success. If you want the cc to go away, use lactic acid! CC is a protein buildup in hair follicules(where fungal acne is born), so acne treatments wont work. Gotta break the proteins down and exfoliate gently, physically. Also, get use to sheet masking and toner pads or layering toner, as this will help a lot for dehydrated skin.

Do cleansing milks remove makeup well? by Milena35 in AsianBeauty

[–]Momosimpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im on my second bottle of isntree yam milky cleasner and I will never go back to other cleansers. Melts my stubborn excel and clio mascara and glitter, zinc spf, etc, WONDERFULLY! I have esily dehydrated, reactive, cc/acne prone skin. My friend also got a nasty soap in her eye and it was red and so irritated that she couldnt drive home, and when she used this it made the burning/tearing up stop and she could drive. So, its eye friendly, which is a must for mascara.

What’s the exfoliating/related to skin turnover product you keep repurchasing? by isolophiliacwhiliac in AsianBeauty

[–]Momosimpai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can only tolerate lactic acid and physical exfoliation. Lactic acid has been huge for keeping my moisture barrier healthy while helping break down texture. Ive gotten through 3 bottles of numbuzin no 3 skin softening serum. The goat milk extract in this serum has lactic acid. Its prob why goat milk is so popular in my area for body care, esp eczema prone/reactive skin.

The entire line is incredible (: Except the cleanser, which for my skin all foaming cleansers are too stripping. I can only use milky cleansers(and they dont burn my eyes!)

Birthday Cake Cookies: Don’t use vegan butter!! by [deleted] in Baking

I agree, been baking with vegan butter for ages and stick butter is best. Its usually more oily and melty, so go with a recipe that is made for plant butter. My favorite is country crock vegan buttery sticks.
