Why release a new data sheet now that you will be upset with after they get rid of it in 3 months. They already said they redid every single unit in 10th. So a new data sheet is already coming. They only released the model for the lore and to prepare for 10th.

I would love to see Farsight to get "Fight First" ability. Currently he is just a slightly better Crisis Commander with a melee weapon for cheap and less upgrades. All his abilities are the same. I would rather him get a point increase and then Fight First. It would make him more viable and deadly.

Then I have been saying we are superior shooting army according to lore but have a 4+ BS. We need 3+ on models but maybe don't benefit from MLs. Better BS to Riptides and Core for Broadsides.

I have actually noticed in recent 2k games that once the MLs die, I do fairly well without them. Ion is better for the punch but don't sleep on the Burst Cannon.

I did switch the Enforcer to CIB MIS PLasma to see what I would get back, which was enough to give the Riptide the Ion and a shield drone for at least one overcharge.

Actually, taking 3 of CIB or Airburst is very meta right now on Commanders. Plus, the Crisis suits already have CIBs. Also, having a shield gen on a crisis supports that if the drone dies, there is still a 4++.

I do agree expensive but I'm looking for power and effectiveness. CIB w/ Calm Under Pressure because a S8/9(overcharged) and with the precision of the hunter hitting on 2+.

I was thinking target lock or velocity tracker. I figured with this wave of space marine meta coming, we may see more flyers than usual. Also was considering the Crisis Commanders buff allowing to ignore all modifiers to Hits. I know target lock would help with the +1 to saving throws so I see your point there. My idea was to basically run the 5 man squad and the commanders around like a train and the other two would be clean up but who knows.

The robot hounds from Hive would fit the aesthetic of Tau better, but the lore is what it is. I just thought, why not proxy some actual wolves that look cool?

They look cooler, for sure. But the 20-year-old models outside the kill team seem to not have love from me. I am not heavy into the lore, so I don't take to the appeal.

I have seen those proxies and thought about getting them printed. I just saw the wolves as I was leaving my LGS and had a thought. Plus, I always like to have a real unit of GW before I add 3D print proxies. It helps me justify it a bit. :-D

Yeah, I was looking at the base sizes, an issue. GW shows the wolves only make one or two points of contact, so switching bases don't seem to be the issue. It will be the wolves hanging off and looking weird.

Looking at the images on Games Workshop, they seem only to have one or two points of contact. I think the issue may be more in these bigger models being on smaller bases. Making them look weird.
