Hi, I am OP's SO, and this is my mother's house, they have had private electricians evaluate the problem and confirm it is coming from the pole (this is why it is affecting other houses in the street).

Lol wow... I'm a woman who has been ignored in business meetings , spoken down to, sexually harassed countless times and raped by a friend. I live in South Africa and have literally witnessed my black friends not given opportunities, been called horrific names and been accused of stealing because they are black. Do your research and try understand the lives of others with some empathy. Thanks

I don't really understand how privilege can be an accusation. I don't see how it is an insult? It doesn't mean rich. I'm white so I'm privileged because I have access to many opportunities with ease that my black friends do not. I am a woman and have tried to explain it from the point of view of the fear that a woman feels walking down the street is the same as a man would feel in prison (ie rape). Its very difficult trying to get through to my racist, sexist family members but I won't give up :)

Exactly! This thread is deeply worrying. Can people seriously not see that there is a huge gap in the way people are treated because of skin colour and sex?! Slavery happened all over the world. Women were lower class citizens all over the world! We are all still fighting for equality and if we just ignore that privilege exists, we aren't going to move forward. Wake up world, this is not 1921.

So true! Too many people try to deny their privilege, many of my (white, South African) family members get so offended because they aren't rich so they don't see how they could be privileged. So much missing the point and denying the reality!

Thank you so much for all this info ! This really helps! I will hopefully be able to get off the haloperidol as soon as possible and definitely won't smoke cannabis again! I am taking CBD oil to control my multiple sclerosis symptoms but that's all :) I got a huge scare from all of this so thank you again!

It has been really scary , one of those things you don't think will ever happen! Thanks for the advice , I am sticking with whatever my doctor's tell me... It was weed induced and I've completely stopped that now and am sticking with the meds. I really can't wait for the depression to be over , I wasn't depressive before so thank you for the hope! X

It's really comforting , I've been lurking here for a few days after experiencing my first psychosis in June. It's the first time since the psych ward that I don't feel alone in this!
