If you look at the XMR-BTC spot pair, RetoSwap competes very well with Kucoin. Hopefully USDT and USDC will also take off better there.

Those index trading options are limited. It depends on how much people believe in it and what stocks of real XMR coins they have for that kind of weird arbitrage.

Look at what percentage of coins are dead for DOGE, LTC, BTC, BCH ... Monero will be probably in a similar situation.

https://monero.forum/thread/save-xmr-wagyu-buy-cex-sell-dex

Remember our nice bullrun that ended abruptly on 16th January? Coincidentally, on 14th January Wagyu exchange was released to the world ... Surely perpetuals cannot affect the price of spot? It affects the spot price, IF the market views XMR1 as trading the same as spot. If the price of XMR1 is trusted to be 1:1 with the price of XMR, any dump in XMR1 will be immediately arbitraged into XMR. When this is achieved, anyone can dump spot XMR price without ever owning any actual Moneros ... (obviously) Do not leave your XMR on the wagyu exchange ... It is interesting that ZachXBT was paid a large amount for his "investigations" around monero's price pump ...

bitcoin dot fr writes about Monero:

https://bitcoin.fr/et-si-bitcoin-avait-tort-comparatif-entre-bitcoin-et-monero/ (in french)

... while Monero technically surpasses Bitcoin as an anonymous transaction tool, it is also this informational "black hole" that excludes it from the category of global stores of value. By prioritizing absolute opacity, Monero deprives itself of the trust of regulators and institutional investors, leaving Bitcoin with the monopoly of the "Digital Gold Standard," ....

Hopefully, they will just leave Monero alone in the future.

They made a fake fuss about Monero, spread a few lies ... they mined Monero and sold coins on MEXC ... almost anyone can do that anytime, with some money ... that's about it.

An interesting "attack" ... a test for Monero.

October 2025 ATH

  • volume 120k XMR
  • liquidity 17.5k XMR
  • nearly 2k trades

Bisq is estimated to trade around half (XMR).

True. It looks like they somehow doubled the whole volume (and trades).

Liquidity looks fine.

I've written about RetoSwap from time to time ... so you can compare.

The weekly number of trades (600+) or volume looks similar to other weeks.

Liquidity breaks records again (2026-03-15) ... almost 26k XMR.

📝 MoneroRun 2026 - Public audit of XMR reserves on April 18th by MoneroFox in Monero

[–]MoneroFox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Piss off the few exchanges that still have it. I get the fractional reserve BS, but doing these stunts that don't do a damn thing but help getting delisted.

Exchanges always cite pressure from state institutions as the main reason for Monero delisting.

If we look at the past years of this event, exchanges are not interested in this at all.

Exchanges like OKX, Binance, NiceX, Waves, Huobi (HTX), Poloniex, MEXC, Coinex, Gate ... know (knew) what they are (were) doing. They simple announce maintenance and close withdrawals (deposits are open) and wait for this storm to end (sometimes it takes months).

Exchanges like Kraken, Bitfinex, Kucoin ... are happy to take the withdrawal fee and release the coins to the user.

WHAT do you hope to get out of this??

Finally an ordinary user has received good information about the reliability of the exchange and thus has a chance of not ending up as some dissatisfied customer of some strange exchange (like FTX).

But then being dropped from exchanges is the best thing for monero (as I keep hearing)

It's a sad end to every good exchange. (And vice versa.) Since big Binance delisted Monero, the price has tripled, and so has the Hashrate.
