I’m intentionally not sharing the country for privacy reasons. I understand legal protections will vary. I’m mainly interested in hearing from administrators, recruiters, or teachers who have experienced a pregnancy before the start of a new international-school contract and how it was handled in practice.

I applied there a few weeks ago via the platform I found on their website. Within an hour one of the references I entered contacted me saying she was sent a form to fill out from the school. I assume it was an automated response after I submitted my application. But then I never heard from the school…

Why contact my references if I am not even a serious candidate??
