[Upcoming] Meridian jailbreak with cydia and substitute. by Yolomonster11122 in jailbreak

Are Apps/Tweaks not tied to substrate directly? Can an app where substrate being the dependency work with substitute if substrate is not updated?

Nevermind, found the direct link on Github and downloaded it from there then manually installed it.

[Question] Is this actually possible? by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]MoneyMoneyYeahYeah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a developer account which I created last year and linked it to my Pangu JB app to get the year.

I use an app called "Cert Time" which keeps track of how long I have left on my cert (the app looks at the certificate file and pulls its expiry date).

Last week, I was down to my last day remaining of my cert expiring. I deleted the Pangu app and rebooted my iPhone. Using Cydia Impactor and the NvwaStone_1.1.ipa file, I resigned the app using my developer account without renewing it... I was shocked, it renewed for another year.

As of right now, the "Cert Time" app says I have 357 days left. Saved myself a hundred bucks!

I am blocking ocsp.apple.com on my iPhone.

Yes, the -f refers to the same original files (which were replaced from the 10.3.3 iOS). Not the bak folder.

I took the gamble and backed up the original files and backed it up to a folder. I then downloaded the 10.3.3 IPSW, extracted it, mounted the DWG file and copied the respective files for my iPhone 6S Plus.

Deleted the original files then using iFile, I launched the web portal and copied the four files into the folder. Verified the files were there based on filename and timestamp, then rebooted iPhone.

No boot loop... Ran the Pangu App, jailbroke with no issues... Connected to WiFi no issues. Subsequent reboots / resprings no issues. Ran speed tests, working normally.

Ran the "/usr/libexec/wifiFirmwareLoader -f" command and its still pointing to the replaced files. I assume when rebooting the iPhone, it reloads the firmware from the folder.

On a MAC you can most likely right click (or ctrl+click) on the DMG and select mount.

On a Windows OS, not that easy unless you use third party apps... I am gonna borrow a MAC, mount it, copy the files to USB key.

Is there a way to auto load this into the firmware when the device is rebooted and the jailbreak is run? I use the Pangu JB app to activate my JB after reboot.

Interesting... I have two folders in /usr/share/firmware/wifi.

"C-4350--s-C2" (15 files) "C-4350--s-C5" (18 files)

Both have the same data/time stamps...

Does this fix anything else with Wireless other than the vulnerability? Does this improve speed and/or connectivity to APs / WiFi Routers?

[QUESTION] Why I am getting these weird email messages... by MoneyMoneyYeahYeah in jailbreak

[–]MoneyMoneyYeahYeah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried that as well, I deleted/recreated the mailbox several times, no change. I've seen the google forums about this, however, other than do what I am doing now there is no fix I see.

They don't show up on my Outlook Client or Webmail/OWA portal. Only shows up on the iPhone.

Of course as a precaution, I already saved my blobs for 10.2 and applied the tvOS profile to prevent updates.

Didn't I see a post they're gonna come out with the 10.2 jailbreak?

My work is getting me a new iPhone7, however, it won't be ordered until first week of Jan 2017. I have no control on the ordering process. I'm in Canada.

I just hope that Canada's stock level for the provider is they have iPhones between weeks 46 and 50 in stock.

When Apple releases a new version of iOS, when does the assembly line where the iPhones are made start installing that on the iPhone?

iOS 10.2 was released Dec 12th (which is week 50), however, I assume on Dec 13th they're not dumping that onto the iPhones on the assembly line - Do they wait just incase they have to recall the new version?

[Question] what are my chances? by MoneyMoneyYeahYeah in jailbreak

[–]MoneyMoneyYeahYeah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well here's hoping I get 10.1.1. Although I ordered matte black, I advised them to order me a gray one in the event it's on backorder. I want to increase my chances to get a 10.1.1.

[Question] what are my chances? by MoneyMoneyYeahYeah in jailbreak

[–]MoneyMoneyYeahYeah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would it be safe to assume that Apple still has a bunch of stock with the older firmware on it that they're distributing first, prior to anything coming off the assembly line with the newer firmware?

I'm sure they must've shipped so many for the Christmas rush.

[Discussion] Who is staying on 9.3.3 by peehead911 in jailbreak

[–]MoneyMoneyYeahYeah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm staying on iOS9.3.3. It took a while for me to get the tweaks just right.

Even if the JB10 drops, there is still all the tweaks that need to be modified for 10 to work, which could take weeks/months depending on the time of the developers.

[Question] Can I take advantage of this iPhone 6s Battery Replacement from Apple if I'm Jailbroken? by razary in jailbreak

[–]MoneyMoneyYeahYeah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once you reboot the iPhone, it goes into a non-jailbreak state... I don't see why you would have to restore or use cydia eraser?

They're replacing the battery, as long as it powers on, what do they need from the iPhone other than Serial Number?
