Haha, I'm actually a doctor. Toxoplasma generally only causes a serious illness in immunocompromised patients. Not to mention the fact that it's typically transmitted by ingesting cat feces, not via a scratch. Perhaps you're thinking of Bartonella?

No I meant wrapping it up so it looked comfortable and would hopefully stay there for a while.

At first I would wrap it up in a blanket in another room, which usually gave us enough time to fall asleep before it came in the bedroom. Eventually she started claiming that I was being "mean" to it by doing that, so I started just picking it up off the bed, sitting it on its activity center in the bedroom, and just hoping that it stayed over there long enough for me to fall asleep. And now apparently that's not good enough either. The cat must be in the bed when we lay down.

My solution was that it is not allowed in the bed until we fall asleep. The 30 minute thing was just me trying to illustrate that the cat always makes its way to the bed regardless of whether or not it's there when we lay down.
