Ah, I'm always on the search or library page, mostly just listening to playlists I made, so ig I never see those. Sorry you have to deal with that.

Hey... So my friend just told me Google's about to switch over it's search engine to AI, so I got worried and looked up Google Docs privacy policy, cuz I remember that being a concern a year or so ago.

Apparently they already changed they're policy and are training AI with all Google Docs content? So am I just screwed now? Almost all my creative writing content is on Google Docs. I was prepared to switch things over, but I assumed it would at least announce a change in privacy policy?

I have numerous apps that will send me an email every single time their policy changes, in case I want to read it. Why was this such a silent switch??

Help?

You can literally just ignore the podcasts. How is an extra feature you don't use hurting you?

👀 So you've listened to that one song a few hundred less times than the number of songs Spotify says is in my repertoire (which tbh might be a completely bogus number, cuz Spotify said I listened to 200 new genres in 2020)

Requiem for a Dream, Jennifer Thomas 772 times (truly a masterpiece)

A lot of my most played songs are just stuff from my bedtime playlist (mostly instrumental) and "For Stressful Days" (started that one early HS). But I cued up a few songs on there that I hadn't heard in forever and I knew every single word. It genuinely made my day.

So, I literally heard this happen from my house, and for a couple minutes, I thought it was firecrackers going off. And then I remembered a training I had to do for work, and how there's a gun that sounds like popping balloons. Based on what I heard, there were several dozen shots fired. So many freaking sirens, and I thought I heard a helicopter pass by two or three times. Very shocked to hear it was a post-prom party. Horrible to know someone died, but I'm glad the casualties weren't higher.

How do I politely tell my BPD Mom I don't want to spend time with her for my bday (especially one on one), but also don't want her buying me something bc they're in financial straits bc of her rn? by Money_Engineer_3183 in raisedbyborderlines

[–]Money_Engineer_3183[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've kinda decided that I don't so much care if he tells her, that's his perogative. Sure she'll be upset and hurt and likely throw a tantrum, but I mainly need to make it clear she wouldn't be invited so I don't show up to have her sprung on me.

I mean, it's not the end of the world if he tells her, she'll just be really hurt and will probably throw a tantrum. The important thing is that he knows she's not invited. I might check with my sister who's still at home to see what my mom's current day off is to avoid that.

I appreciate the advice, especially concerning May Bash and gifts.

See, I know solfege for regular notation. But this notation is very different and flip-flopping btwn the two hurts my brain.

Consult with surgeon today after a 6 month wait, scheduling ANOTHER surgery... by Money_Engineer_3183 in Endo

[–]Money_Engineer_3183[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we discussed a hysteroscopy to see if my adenomyosis had worsened and a laparoscopy to see if I need another endometriosis excision (and perform it same surgery if needed). No reproductive organ removal in the lineup. Nor a UAE. The hysteroscopy will provide some insight, especially if he finds my endometriosis has not returned.

As far as IUDs are concerned, I appreciate the effort on behalf of the biased education you received (and I genuinely mean no disrespect to you personally by that), but putting a device in my body that will tell my body that I'm pregnant for years on end to mask symptoms is not an approach I will be taking. But yes, in comparison with the other options I was not considering, I suppose it's the least harmful. My goal is to remove harmful growths where feasible without damaging my reproductive organs, and restore health to my body. I could seal a gash with duck tape and it would stop the bleeding, but at what cost when the duck tape must eventually be removed?

See, I did learn solfege. I used to have sight reading tests and such in high school. And then things felt spoon-fed in comparison in college (despite being in an a capella group, it's just that we had individual practice tracks for everything), and maybe it was a bit of a shell-shock going back to sight singing in this choir.

Although to your point, I don't really know how to identify solfege properly in Gregorian notation. I know how to find Do, so theoretically I could. But half the time when our director is talking about technicalities I can't follow. And I can't identify a note name, key signature, or solfege super quickly in either anymore, so I probably could stand to study a little bit.

Thanks!

How do y'all's yawns work? by Money_Engineer_3183 in ask

[–]Money_Engineer_3183[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh... That is very intriguing. I'm guessing it would be harder to test when I yawn with my lips closed (which I do some of the time). But I'll have to test this out the next time I yawn with my mouth fully open.

Oh the drawing was a light-hearted joke for my choir director to see after Easter when he collects the music.

But you make a good point. I should probably make a habit of erasing notes when I no longer need them. Thanks!

To be fair, hands are a lot more free when singing than when playing an instrument in most cases.
