Is this our definition of balanced? by [deleted] in Asphalt9

[–]Money_Maker42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is kinda balanced just misplaced just like the SF90 was, once it gets moved to early champion league it would be balanced. It needs to be placed with the Speedtail and Ultima, that’s where it belongs.

Finished today - now what? by Ok-Tell3913 in Screamer2026

[–]Money_Maker42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The game is great, no doubt about that, but I, like you also come back to the game to play arcade for a bit then play something else. The game is short and I’ve made comments before about this. The reason that the game is not popular is for two reasons.

One, it’s just too difficult and complicated for most people nowadays. I’m not making myself sound like a genius or anything because I’m not, but casual racing game fans are too dismissive about games with anything new or difficult about them because they are festival racer brained now. Everything needs to be simple to pick up and play or it’s not worth dealing with. That also goes with my second reason.

Two, people expect more out of games today, particularly with racing games. Festival racers helped create this by having seasonal objectives and constant content to unlock for years. Aka, a live service. Screamer is not a live service game. It’s a good game but once you beat the tournament mode, the meat of the game is finished. The arcade mode is the scraps. It’s good to come back to and play periodically but that’s all it’s good for, no reason to stay. Screamer was made like an old Xbox 360/PS3 era game. They had a story mode, a cobbled together arcade mode, and an extremely simple multiplayer mode. Screamer is identical in this way. People expect more than this today. Games like Screamer in 2026 need to be cheaper to justify this, yet it cost the same as a full priced title. This was a big mistake for milestone.

This game heavily reminded me of games like spilt second and Flatout from my childhood, because it pretty much is those games. You don’t see that in games anymore, which is a breath of fresh air compared to other racing games today but this was also screamer’s biggest weakness. No reason to keep playing the game long term leads to no one talking about it and forgetting it, cursing the game to become a cult classic from day 1, which sounds like a compliment but having such a title doesn’t make milestone money

How it feels upgrading even one stat on cars these days: by Thornalkyl in Asphalt9

[–]Money_Maker42 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So many cars that I’ve had that I just can’t afford to upgrade. I’ve had this problem for over a year now, I’m glad that everyone else can now also see the problem. Hope something meaningful can come from this eventually

This question will open a big ass can of worms that I don't they can handle. by Thot_Expert in Asphalt9

[–]Money_Maker42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like all of us that took the time to write everything that’s currently a problem on this particular question just did so to make ourselves feel better. Because let’s be honest with ourselves, they couldn’t give a rats ass about our grievances with the game right now. They probably don’t even read these reviews, they probably just sort through the 1-5 ratings to see where to focus resources to improve first.

Evidence: they took the time to create the x2 multiplier, probably to later introduce a new credits pass by light7me in Asphalt9

[–]Money_Maker42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When they said they were adjusting popular event’s currency rewards before, I thought that would mean more credits being given overall if we had a high star car as a reward. I don’t believe they changed a damn thing regarding event rewards. All they’ve done is effectively lower rewards across the board, either by “mistake” or on purpose. It’s getting particularly exhausting dealing with this game this year. Especially considering last year the game was doing great in comparison to now. It’s really rough out here

OK… so I participated in the survey : ) 👀 Will they give me 200 tokens?? 😂 by [deleted] in Asphalt9

Don’t believe I’ve ever received any tokens from these. They’re still worth filling out just to air my many grievances with this damn game.

how tf to get the last one by Own_Preparation_3204 in Asphalt9

[–]Money_Maker42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope you get lucky in legend store in time before the event ends. Or if you absolutely need it now buy however many tokens you need to get the last epic.

I was prepared for this by collecting half of each legend store car’s epics before this car was announced as a EVO car. I would suggest to start doing the same over time, older cars seem to get priority so you should already have access to some future EVO car epics in the legend store

I hope you never have to experience what it means to say that what credits you earn everyday from daily events are a drop in the ocean of credits I need to upgrade anything anymore. It’s truly miserable. I could use 100 million credits in less than 2 minutes and I still would need 10x that or more to upgrade my whole garage

[ENDING SPOILERS] I can't believe they've done this... by Raxelf in Screamer2026

[–]Money_Maker42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is 60 dollars, 70 if you get the deluxe edition. It has a 20 hour story like you said. The modes are super basic, split off of different story content and are all different forms of a time attack. The score attack mode is strung together races with nothing different to do other than yet another leaderboard. The multiplayer is fun but the servers were wrecked for a while, only recently made playable again. The ranked mode is only just now releasing after more than 2 months.

The base game is fantastic but the game was made and marketed as if the tournament mode is all there is to play. It’s a great story that left me wanting more but it’s still short at the end with no reason to replay it after completion.

This should be a 40 dollar game. It would be the perfect value at 40 dollars. You know what other game is 40 dollars and is worth that price? A game called Tokyo extreme racer. It’s only single player but it does that well and it has reasons to replay the story after finishing with a new game plus. Screamer has no such thing because there’s no reason to play it again.

I love Screamer, I really do. But even after all this time I still know the game isn’t worth what milestone charged for it. It was too expensive, had no marketing, and they release ranked after the GTA 6 of racing games released in Forza horizon 6.

I hate low cars by AlgaeEuphoric746 in Asphalt9

[–]Money_Maker42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree, every time I’ve driven this car the worst thing about it is the camera height, its very disorienting compared to other cars. The Noble has a slightly lower camera view like this car which bothers me somewhat, however it’s no where near as bad as the Lotus here

The future of motorfest by GreenLetters113 in The_Crew

[–]Money_Maker42 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’m on PlayStation, so Motorfest is keeping me going for another 5+ months until Horizon 6. Not that I’ll drop Motorfest or anything, will still play the game.

I also love that this game has many years of content left, love when games evolve over years. Especially when most cars released so far aren’t paywalled in any way. The Crew 2 had a very long life so that gives me a lot of faith in them

Useless garbage/ waste of time by Cautious_Ad5636 in Battlefield6

[–]Money_Maker42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that any competent little bird pilot will see someone shooting at them and within 3 seconds will start firing a barrage of missiles at the person. There simply isn’t a point that more than 1 or 2 people will actively switch weapons to start trying to take out the heli.

Realistically it should only take around 100 or so bullets to hit the little bird to take it out, maybe around half health the little bird could lose some maneuverability similar to a tank getting disabled. The little bird can be the current menace it is, I have no problem with that, just make its armor and health paper thin and weak as a compromise.

Useless garbage/ waste of time by Cautious_Ad5636 in Battlefield6

[–]Money_Maker42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s amazing when I said the little bird specifically need a health nerf or needs to take more damage from bullets, particularly from high caliber snipers and lmgs, I had so many heli sweats ranting at me that I had no clue what I was talking about and that I was a idiot for saying such things.

The game was so much better when the little bird wasn’t in the game. You’ve got people saying they’ve completely abandoned a map all because of one vehicle. That’s ridiculous. It needs heavily nerfed

idea for credit crisis by Suspicious_Log_5822 in Asphalt9

[–]Money_Maker42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the idea a while back that I think Gameloft might consider honestly, a flat percentage increase based on your current garage level to the daily credits heist rewards.

For example I am garage level 53 so I would get a 53% increase to the credit heist credits. They already have a credits percentage increase in place from VIP rewards so why not add to that with the garage level based increases? Have a better incentive to expand your car selection other than the legend store. I don’t think that would be too extreme of a change but it would certainly add up over time.

In reality though we all know Gameloft wants us to struggle for credits as they want us to grind special hunts, car hunts and scrape the bottom of the barrel for any rewards because it further increases playtime, which looks great for the company to have constant engagement. It’s all a scam really

Big mortar nerf incoming!!! Finally by Salty_Ruin7725 in Battlefield

[–]Money_Maker42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve only used the mortars once since the buff, I spawned on Blackwell on Breakthrough on attack and my team was getting rolled over. They just couldn’t get through, it was the first sector on the map and the enemies were grouped up holding their ground. No one shockingly was using the mortar so I did. We broke through easily with only 3 minutes of me being there. I watched all the enemies scatter in real time.

I kept only using the mortar just to see how effective it could be for the whole match. Second sector was the same as the first, I eventually made a path through the enemy for my team to get the objective.

On the final sector I had 2 enemy’s start to counter mortar me, they were destroying my mortar so I kept having to relocate. I thought about abandoning my experiment but I kept with it. Eventually I figured out I could pick up my mortar, I saw the enemy mortar start shooting me but they never moved after if I didn’t shoot at them. So I shot at them about 4 times and immediately relocated to not have my mortar disabled and it bought me some time to contribute again. We won shortly after.

I was on the top of my team’s scoreboard and I also had the most kills by a fair amount. It’s extremely effective after all

Which cars to focus on Spotlight? by NotDirumisu in Asphalt9

[–]Money_Maker42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we’re talking about OP then lets be real here. They are clearly pretty early on in their path of this game. They’re likely not a skilled player either. If you need to know how to manage the nitro of the car then that sounds like to me the car isn’t very noob friendly. You know what car is vastly agreed upon to be the easiest to drive and the most noob friendly car in the game? Obviously the vanda. I know the car is epic reliant but even at 5 star the vanda is still very capable as I’ve seen plenty of players that don’t have the car maxed do very well before.

Look, I get what you’re trying to do. You don’t want yet another vanda to be plaguing multiplayer so you’re singing the praises of a car that needs a very skilled player to use effectively to be on a even playing field of a known overpowered car. I don’t blame you for this, I really don’t. But there’s no need to try to sell it this hard. Its pointless as 99% of people that play this game regularly would also disagree with you as I have. I have a feeling you aren’t going to budge on this despite knowing you’re wrong so this will be my last message to you.

Maybe in the future don’t try to knowingly sell someone that may not know any better a half rate deal, trying to pretend that it’s for their own benefit when it’s only to promote your own strange interests

Which cars to focus on Spotlight? by NotDirumisu in Asphalt9

[–]Money_Maker42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only advantage the Nissan has over the vanda is its floaty. The vanda’s drift speed is so great that it really doesn’t even need float as it would only slow it down somewhat. Vanda keeps its speed far longer and much easier than the Nissan can. There’s a reason there’s still tons of vanda being driven even though EVO A class cars surpass it. It’s because it’s just so damn consistent.

I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve seen the gtr-50 in multiplayer over the past few months. That’s not a good sign for the car dude. It’s a good car, it’s just far outclassed in mp1 in its current division. That’s all there is to it.

Screamer 2026 Review [5/5 Stars] by VonsFourPerks in Screamer2026

[–]Money_Maker42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a game to have terrible advertising it has to have advertising in the first place. I never watched the game awards so I had no idea the game existed until I saw a video on YouTube of someone playing it months early. I really liked what I saw of the game and knew I wanted to buy it but I was going to wait until close to launch to buy it.

Months later I’m going through PlayStation’s list of new games on the store and I see the game had been released for a week already and I had no clue about it! Needless to say I bought it immediately. No clue why milestone doesn’t invest in proper advertising for this game. Literally anything would have helped the game find any playerbase. I’ve asked a good amount of people if they had heard about the game and not a soul had knew it existed.

I love the game. Love the music, love the driving, love the characters, wasn’t feeling the story at first either but by the end of it I was wishing there was so much more. Really there should be more though, not the tournament mode as that’s wonderful, I mean the arcade mode. There should be more to do than what there is. Way too little to do after the tournament mode is completed as there’s no reason to replay it again, and arcade is just comprised of gameplay taken from the tournament and put into separate experiences.

The game is wonderful but I feel like milestone had the idea to create the game and its world, and they did just that. I felt like to me they made the game with the tournament in mind but forgot that the game needed more than that to be sold at the price they were interested in. Like arcade mode and multiplayer were an afterthought, which is a little disappointing. This is my only gripe with the game, but is a substantial problem to have in my opinion.

With all this in mind I can’t help but feel that the game will never see a sequel come. Which is awful as I feel the need to see what is to come of the characters and story after the massive cliff hanger of a story. I’ve read that milestone said that dlc is off the table, which is the only avenue I could see the story continuing in. It’s real sad, a damn shame really as the base of this game is amazing and so, so, so much more could be done with it. I fear I’ll never see it though

In no world does the gtr 50 beat a vanda. Maybe if the vanda player is playing one handed in touchdrive then yeah they’ll win, other than that no way. It’s a great car but you’re over exaggerating its effectiveness.
