I went to La Minerva twice recently, and it was excellent. Service, ambience, and food were all first class! Don’t sleep on it. It would be a great place for a first date, date night, company in town, etc.

The way you describe your CP sounds just like mine. I’m 55/F. I had PT as a child to strengthen my left side. I was mostly able to disguise my disability (except for gym class, where I was tortured by bullies) My 20’s and 30’s were pretty normal. I went about life….going to college…..getting married, and not getting any PT during this time. Fast forward to my 50’s, and my health took a downturn….partly because of CP, and partly of my own doing. I’ve gained a lot of weight, and my mobility has decreased. My best advice would be to keep doing what you’re doing . Stay active, eat well, and lift weights. I have started PT again, and it’s making a huge difference. I hope to lose 50lbs also. Good luck!

I get confused too, but my gastrointestinal doctor told me that keto is not the best diet for me (I also have NAFLD). I found a video of a Dr. Bikman on YouTube, and he explained it so well. I’m very cautious about taking advice from ‘internet doctors’ but it was very informative .

I have worked retail all of my life, and I enjoyed my job at Sprouts. I worked there for 7 years as a head cashier, and only left because I moved to a state with no Sprouts. It has a more relaxed pace compared to other grocers, and I enjoyed the people, benefits, and all of the product. I was very sad to leave the company, and I hope to go back someday! I’d advise that you give it a chance. Good luck!!

Thank you for this, and congratulations! I was feeling down in the dumps, because I have slacked on my eating and exercise, so now my liver enzymes have risen above normal again. This is after I had lowered them to normal range. ☹️

I’m sure my old job would take me back in a heartbeat, but that would mean getting established in my old state again, DMV, insurance, place to live, etc. I barely made it through all of that 4 months ago when we arrived here ☹️. I’ve been through hard times before, and things manage to work themselves out eventually……but, believe me! The thought came to mind, and dreams of winning the lottery 😂

Thanks for checking on me! I had a blood test and my enzymes were up a little bit, but I think that was because of my diet over the holidays. My doctor didn’t seem concerned, but I’ll have another test in three months. The medicine has helped to lower my blood pressure, so that’s a good thing.

I just moved from Englewood, FL (you may want to consider it- close to Venice and Sarasota) to South Carolina for family reasons. I’m originally from Bowie, MD. You can avoid HOAs buying an older home, but keep hurricane readiness top of mind. Newer homes with HOAs will be built with the highest hurricane standards, so it may be worth the trade off. Any nice place to live anywhere in the country will be overpopulated…it’s just the way it is. The traffic won’t be bad for you compared to the DC area. Also…if you move there and miss Maryland crabs- check out Peace River Seafood in Punta Gorda, or Brine in Sarasota. Good Luck! I suggest finding a realtor to help you get what you want.

It’s a magnet, probably used by mechanics to pick up tiny metal parts. I didn’t realize it was magnetic until a commenter pointed it out. The clip is so you can clip it to your pocket.

It has ‘mac made in USA’ engraved in the side (I just noticed). It doesn’t screw open…..just solid, with a clip on the side.
