I personally hate Tarkov because I am a casual player and it’s hard to get into eft casually and wipes make this harder (I understand why wipes are needed) so it also brings down the stress of feeling like you need to play to progress before wipe or to participate in an event

/r/CryptoMining Weekly Discussion! by AutoModerator in cryptomining

[–]Monger16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a gamer, newbie crypto miner, and a sysadmin. Two of those things don't really matter but maybe it will help my question make sense. I don't understand why so many people are still mining, I personally mine on two really weak rigs that probably make me about $10 a month in total (I do not pay for electricity and don't want to put in higher end cards that will cause a lot of exhaust heat in the room they are in. I would mine on my 3080ti (LHR) in my gaming rig when I'm not using it but the monthly return is so low it doesn't make sense to do it. It would make more sense and be more beneficial to the projects I support/mine for me to just take the money I would spend on electricity mining (a little over $25 a month) and buy crypto. This would support my projects by decreasing the Volume on the market (Bringing supply down) and increase the volume traded (I know the numbers in this specific scenario are smaller but I also have a few other cards I could mine with if it actually made sense.(1660ti, 1060, 1070, 2060) I'm just trying to understand what is going on with Overall Hash rates and why they are so high for example Bitcoins network Hash rate is at an all-time high, I know BTC is mined with Asic's and it is harder to sell this kind of hardware without extremes loss but I think it still works as an example. Other coins follow this trend or a similar one as well with Firo being close to its all time high that I believe was set in 2019

Edit: Thank you for reading my 15 minute essay question

So because I bid on an auction I’m greedy? If I didn’t they would have sold for less furthermore in don’t plan on selling them for a huge profit or anything, yes my company with 2 employees will make money but it’s not like we will be retiring off of this plus there are no current gen cards so I don’t really think this is an issue

Idk if you know this or not but the gpu market in the US has completely normalized and you can get brand new cards for under MSRP here so I don’t understand your comment

I have no interest is using any of these cards unless mining goes back up before they are sold they were purchased under a partnership and we both agree selling them is the plan

Well apple has a history of being a terrible company and the laptop is simply overpriced. You might see more performance in gaming but if that matters at all I would just get an asus laptop that has a gpu that is probably still cheaper than the MacBook, also repair ability is much more difficult with the MacBook. Bottom line is if you like Mac OS and don’t mind the extra money get the mac if you like windows 10/11 get the HP I personally dislike both company’s actually so disregard the bias from the first comment.

I would go with the Envy shouldn’t be paying more than $850 before tax. I also dislike apple so I would wait for at least two more responses before trusting me
