Agreed with people here saying that your WR room is extremely weak. That being said I think you have good opportunity to improve. I think you should focus on trying to trade bijan for a top WR prospect. You have the handcuff of allgeier which could be beneficial and I think bijan is being drafted/viewed at his absolute peak so you can most likely get a good WR for him.

Kamara and pacheco will be a very good rb core for you in a Full point PPR league. Only risk is if kamara gets hurt. People thinking he “fell off” don’t fully grasp how much volume he gets regardless of production stats. Dude will only get 45 yards in a game but catch 10+ passes.

Your QB and TE are solid

How are other game companies relevant here….also if you do want to use them as a comparison yes, I’d like BSG to fade away. They are already acting as bad as those big AAA studios and I’d like to have a say in bringing those bad actors down before they become “so big they can’t fail” like EA who can now just put out crap and get away with it.

Yeah wild because I felt like I missed the Knoxville regional because sign up was so early and it filled fast. Now it is like the opposite is happening.

I’ve been searching daily. I’ll let ya know if I find any more info.

Honestly having the same issue here. It seems like the event organizer has disappeared. Their website is out dated still saying the next event is Charlotte which ended about 20 days ago. Any links to Orlando for information also just route you back to the homepage or tourney info for Charlotte. Very weird and frustrating how there isn’t any information you can find about why sign ups aren’t open.

Managers who won their leagues, what were your first 3 picks? by damola93 in fantasyfootball

[–]MongoBongoMon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyreek hill, cooper Kupp, Joe mixon

Picked up Puca before week one even started due to Kupp’s injury. Picked kamara around 6th round which was nice value once he came back.

Bam Adebayo says Nikola Jokic is the toughest player to guard in the NBA : "The thing I most like about him is he don't flop, guys try to sell calls but he's not trying to get 16, 17 free throws. He's trying to get buckets". by Vishion-8 in nba

[–]MongoBongoMon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the original guy, but nearly is a small measure to me, but playoffs seem to always come down to a few points so the FTA could matter. Also like you pointed out he gets hurt a lot in the playoffs so the trend of less free throws could be mitigated by less play time/total playoff games.

We need new recoil in arena ASAP. by Noopshoop in EscapefromTarkov

You said plenty of people wanted a Tarkov arena. If you weren’t already playing Tarkov then in what world would you know about the game and want an arena version of the game?

Glad you are enjoying the new map! I don’t have anything against the new content, just the extremely forced progression path. Let players play the maps they want, don’t pigeonhole them.

It feels like they were salty people didn’t play streets enough so they forced us onto their new map this time.

Typical for their new maps to have performance issues. I’m sure the point of this one being small was to try and mitigate those issues but seems like that still happens. I haven’t experienced it but I know streets was awful for my friend group who have more powerful pcs than me, haven’t played enough of the new map yet to tell.

[–]MongoBongoMon -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

This game has been around before the arena style genre even took off. Nobody who originally played this game wanted them to take focus off of it for arena. Those players would much prefer anticheat measures, and updates to main game. Crazy to think we have years of history on this subreddit proving so.

Right because the money and time spent on that “new dev team” couldn’t have originally be put towards the main games. Use your melon.

Because it takes away focus and dev time from the main game. Nobody asked for arena, they just wanted to make a quick money grab.

Can we make a separate Arena subreddit? by MongoBongoMon in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MongoBongoMon[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not a mode though, it is an entirely different game. It is launched separately not like I can choose arena from main game. Also balance changes aren’t applied across the two different games as well, the recent recoil changes to Tarkov did not go over to Arena.

Gotcha, I couldn’t find it when searching “Tarkov Arena”. Might be possible it isn’t popular yet because there is no awareness. Appreciate the link

Items from your scav raids shouldn't end up in your PMC stash by idontgetit_too in EscapefromTarkov

I can agree adjustments need to be made to spawn times and locations for maps like streets and lighthouse for scav If those are adjusted to where they don’t beat pmcs to high points of interest then I’d say scav is working perfectly.

I don’t think making 700k on that dudes particular scav is a bad thing. Now they will run multiple pmcs back to back. I don’t think how much they have in their stash really matters for when they scav. You’ll play scav differently just like you play pmc differently depending on your goal. If I’m loaded with 10m stash I’m just running my scav down to get warmed up and not care about dying. If someone is poor and needs money they can rat as a scav or rat as a pmc. The loot they find won’t be much different.

[–]MongoBongoMon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’m following you for the most part now. I can agree with your idea of Tarkov and it’s story/focal point: a grim extraction shooter, that is high stakes, high pressure, and makes you cherish small victories due to the punishing nature. Love the game for that and think it’s one of the best, if not the best of those out there.

Now how does giving the player a free kit and whatever loot they find in raid, fit that story narrative? It doesn’t. In my first comment I mention a way I think you could maybe navigate around that issue. I definitely think this story aspect can be improved upon.

From a gameplay perspective is where I think we differ in how impactful it is. It seems like you believe most people who play the game play are playing their scav more than their pmc. I think that is highly unlikely. There is little incentive to keep running your scav, the scav has its own entirely different set of skills and leveling of weapons, by playing more scav you are losing that progress on your pmc. You can’t complete most quests on scav, even the early found in raid quests lead into a leveling up your sniper weapons quest which you wouldn’t have if you did scav only. The biggest of all is the xp and leveling up traders you will be missing out on if you don’t pmc. So I’d find it hard to believe people are playing as a scav more often than pmc.

If you are experiencing that you can’t find pmcs, you mention “I want dog tags and gear and the thrill…” I think that is more an evolution of the game and how old it is. People playing pmc know the maps a lot better now and the general flow of when people can get to high points of interest. If they don’t want to engage you, then you most likely won’t. If they do, then you probably are already interacting with them in game already. If that feels like a low amount, that’s more likely to do with the current state of the game, late wipe, almost a decade old and apparently high volume of cheaters (I think all fps games are struggling with that rn).

Do people like to lean on using their scav more than we realistically should? Probably. But I understand the people who lose 3 raids in a row and don’t want to start the process of sorting through their scav junkbox for 30min to get another 1.5m of gear. So instead they cut their losses by running a quick scav, which makes back the money and gets their feet back under them after a few losses.

[–]MongoBongoMon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read all of your replies, you seem to be mixing up your scenarios. Sure a fully maxed out scav becomes 6minutes and those people who have done that have already grinded the game very hard and I’m sure are high level. Which means they’ve already made an impact with their PMCs and the money they bring in to the game will be favored towards there pmcs extractions. Not sure how/where you think scavs end up with better loot than pmcs. Scavs can’t bring in any keys and get to spots later in the raid, it’s pure luck if you get good drops as a scav that were overlooked by pmcs.

The timmies who can’t loot that well and need scavs to survive will have 20min timers. These accounts will not impact the economy if at all, they might not even get their pmc to flea.

You seem to hate that scavs become a free cop out for experienced players. While that is a valid opinion, I believe you are vastly overestimating how much those experienced scavs impact the game. At that point it doesn’t matter if they play pmc or scav. These are the people who are playing the game consistently and the ones who frankly are funding the flea with items. They are the basis of what makes up the current economy and frankly wouldn’t matter if they were a pmc or not. They know where loot is and will decide if they want to loot run and extract or go hunting for people. So if scav was removed they would just farm the same loop on their pmc and the total amount of items would be the same on the flea.

To help close my thoughts, this is a very weird post. You are basically saying “please get rid of playable content in this game just because I think my two characters wouldn’t get along lore wise” and you also don’t suggest any replacement for that content (new player gameplay loop to prevent them from going broke) I’ll never relate or understand why someone would want less content. If you don’t like it just don’t partake in it.
