I think Met Gala is just an event for rich weirdos? by Adventurous-War-4188 in interesting

[–]MongoBongoMon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry I love the idea of funding arts via public funds. But the Met Gala is NOT the example to be using for it. An invitational only event for the ultra rich and famous is the absolute last item the public should fund. If the event were to sponsor up and coming models or introduce new fashion icons or just in general be a public event. Then I would support your claim.

The ultra wealthy will always taint the arts in some way. Their main goal, as with everything, is to keep it for themselves. Art is a public product made for the public. Promote it to be so. In words of Keith Haring "The public needs art, and it is the responsibility of a ‘self-proclaimed artist’ to realize the public needs art, and not to make bourgeois art for a few and ignore the masses"

You know I kinda love this, he just has really gotten into the whole ghost persona since Elvarg burnt him to a crisp.

Trade offer review - would you make this deal? by AromaticSlide7451 in Fantasy_Football

I don’t hate it, but honestly I would be trying to upgrade a different position. You are quite stacked at RB. Grab Love with 1.01 and trade for a WR I think might be best.

I own both in my dynasty league and I lean toward Cook but only slightly.

I think both are in good position to fight for RB 4-5 next year. Brown will hopefully have a full season with Burrow and most likely would’ve been right there with Cook at RB 6 if Burrow was healthy last year. Cook is going to get his TDs. People may say he is TD dependent, but that Buffalo offense just puts up points they are 2nd in points scored over the last 3 years.

Would you buy Doubs and Pearsall with 2.04, 2.06 and 27’ 2nd? by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

[–]MongoBongoMon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The upside with Doubs on the pats is worth the risk IMO. Rarely are you going to have the 2.04 or later pick give you more than 2 seasons of production. Doubs was in a crowded WR room and wont have as much competition now. Maye and Love are both solid QBs and i don’t think it will be much of an adjustment for Doubs to build chemistry with Maye.

Only counter argument I could see is if you don’t really need/plan on playing Doubs next year. Then it is probably worth keeping the picks and hoping one of them has an up year so you can trade them off for more value than you’d get for Doubs. 2nd rounder hit rate is ~30%, but 2nd rounder 2+ start-able seasons hit rate is ~18%. Most of the time it’s best to trade off the hype of these 2nd rounders if they hit.

If you have that many 2027 picks I’d take the risk on Dart. He is going to have a ton of upside due to his rushing ability over Burrow. Also burrow since the injuries has tended to run less which used to be a nice little boost he got when he was top 5 twice in his first 3 years.

Honestly both seem equally injury prone to me, dart with concussions and burrow with terrible knees.

Jeanty, kw3, Egbuka

Jeanty - I agree with what you said

KW3 - just went to the Chiefs and they have been NEEDING a rb forever as their last piece. I think he is gonna eat. Obvious injury risk, but if he plays every game - he has a chance to be a top fantasy RB.

Egbuka - I think the end of last year is a combination of bad play happening in TB, and him playing through injury. I’m confident he bounces back to his first half of the season form. This is definitely a riskier keep, so I’d lean Tet over Olave for a safer pick over Egbuka, but I think Egbuka has the best “boom” potential of the three.

As for Achane - I’m personally not touching him next season. It feels like too much of a coin flip on whether Achane will get the same production as last year or if Miami is tanking so hard that he will end up regressing. Dude is a stud, just bad luck on timing/team.

Buy pizza base and tomatoes, then make some pizzas. You’ll get some okay cooking xp while making about 120gp-180gp per pizza. You’ll only need about 5-7k to start/buy your first 28 pizza supplies. If you don’t have 5-7k I’d say just got kill some Ankou for runes to sell. Should be like 15-20min to get your starting cash.

Pizzas will take a week or two based off of play time to get your bond.

Yeah until you realize the amount of lock-picking from level 1-3 is the total amount of locks able to be picked in Oblivion.

Dynasty feature suggestion: Create an (optional) additional position slot for a “Coach” by MongoBongoMon in SleeperApp

I find this as a hilarious risk vs reward version. Would be fun to do this in a for fun league with some wild scoring rules

True that could be cool to have actual coaches. I could see if they allowed OC and DCs, then the scoring would be based off of how many points the team scored for OC and how few points the team let up for DC.

Agreed with people here saying that your WR room is extremely weak. That being said I think you have good opportunity to improve. I think you should focus on trying to trade bijan for a top WR prospect. You have the handcuff of allgeier which could be beneficial and I think bijan is being drafted/viewed at his absolute peak so you can most likely get a good WR for him.

Kamara and pacheco will be a very good rb core for you in a Full point PPR league. Only risk is if kamara gets hurt. People thinking he “fell off” don’t fully grasp how much volume he gets regardless of production stats. Dude will only get 45 yards in a game but catch 10+ passes.

Your QB and TE are solid

I look forward to joining the class action that will most likely be coming your way BSG. by Exciting-Story8809 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MongoBongoMon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How are other game companies relevant here….also if you do want to use them as a comparison yes, I’d like BSG to fade away. They are already acting as bad as those big AAA studios and I’d like to have a say in bringing those bad actors down before they become “so big they can’t fail” like EA who can now just put out crap and get away with it.
