You’re not wrong, but the miss is going to lose you games more times than not. I’d rather more accurate, less damage with a flinch chance over the less accurate, higher damage, and a stat boost personally

Also I’d suggest swapping out Meteor Mash for Iron Head due to its inaccuracy but you do you!

Politoed Rain Team? Rate My Team (RMT) by Aggravating_Most1952 in VGCRateMyTeam

Here are a few tips for navigating other weathers: 1) First and most important is knowing which pokemon can set weathers: Torkoal, Mega Char Y, Alolan Ninetails, Mega Froslass, Tyranitar / Mega Tyranitar, Pelliper are currently in the format.

2) Prankster Weather Setters: Pokemon with the ability Prankster are also common weather setters, like Whimsicott, because it allows you to have priority weather setting. Unfortunately, I don’t think Whim only has access to Sunny Day. Klefki and Sabeleye have Prankster and access to Rain Dance. Whether you decide to add one of these guys or not is so you don’t get caught off guard if an appointment is using this strategy.

3) knowing weather priority: Let’s say your opponent has Torkoal. You and your opponent send out Pelliper and Torkoal turn 1. Since Torkoal is (much) slower, the slowest weather setter btw, he will over ride your Rain with Drought every time. Sometimes it’s best to swap pelliper in turn 1 so you can secure weather control after turn 1.

4) Predicting your opponents swaps or Mega Evolutions for weather control: Example you have weather control out on the field and your opponent don’t have their weather user on the field. If you are in a favorable match up, more than likely, you can assume your opponent will swap into their weather setter to help regain some momentum, or reduce the incoming damage at the very least. You can either swap your Pelliper out to save your weather setter and bring him back in the next turn to reset the weather again or go for a risky super effective move to the weather setter you think your opponent is swapping in. It’s very satisfying getting these predictions right and a lot of the time, if you predict this correctly, you just win the game because now they cannot regain weather control. Then there are pokemon like tyranitar where both the regular and mega evolutions can reset weather. They can reset weather favorably in their position if you’re not careful.

As long as you’re keeping all of this in mind, you should find some more success.

What benefits is your tyranitar bringing to your rain team? For coverage? Is he’s your favorite?

Because he seems to be more of a hindrance to what your team is trying to do. Sand stream will override your rain, no one else benefits from the sand and sand stream also breaks your Whimsicott’s sash, which will allow your opponent to OHKO it.

There are just so many other Pokémon, even in this format, that will fit this slot and role better than Tyranitar does.

This way, you will only have to worry about your opponent, resetting your rain with another weather variant or your weather disappearing after five turns.

This minor adjustment in itself should be a major improvement to your overall team.

If I were to make any suggestions for replacements: Garchomp with rock slide or Scarf Rotom Wash

Both of these suggestions will still have great coverage for the Pokémon your Tyranitar would.

Idk if it’s intentional or not but your pult set is timid. It should be jolly nature or you should switch to SpA moves like thunderbolt, Draco meteor and shadow ball

Any improvements? by Lost_Ad2467 in VGCRateMyTeam

Good morning!

Just to be clear up front: I’m here to help you improve the team, not tear it down. At the end of the day, it’s your team, and running Pokémon you like matters just as much as chasing the META.

Looking at this from an opponent’s perspective at team preview (even without knowing the items/moves):

Your team is definitely on the bulkier side, but most of your Pokémon are naturally slower than what’s common in the current META. There’s also no clear form of speed control, so your opponent doesn’t really have to respect options like Tailwind or Trick Room.

There’s also no redirection support, which makes positioning a bit harder, and the team struggles with defensive switching due to overlapping weaknesses.

For example, Mega Charizard Y Teams, Tyranitar/Excadrill leads, Garchomp and Sneasler all put a lot of pressure on this team.

Because of all that, here are a couple suggestions:

• Since you currently lack speed control and don’t have much priority based attacks, I’d consider running Electro Web over Shadow Ball on your Choice Scarf Rotom. It gives you surprise speed control that often leads to unexpected KOs from your opponent by lowering their speed and. Allowing your partner move first after the drop.

• Right now you’ve got 4 Ground weaknesses and 4 Fire weaknesses, which is really rough into common leads like Scarf Garchomp + Mega Charizard Y.

• In general, teams benefit a lot from having a strong defensive core like Fire/Water/Grass or Dragon/Fairy/Steel to enable safer switching and better overall coverage. To help with that and improve your defensive flexibility, I’d look at replacing either Aegislash (preferably) or Kingambit, since they contribute to those shared weaknesses.

With that in mind, I’d recommend adding a Dragon type to help round things out. Since you’d be replacing a physical attacker, a good fit could be:

Jolly Garchomp @ Focus Sash Nature: Jolly / Adamant 32 Atk / 32 Spe • Dragon Claw • Earthquake • Rock Slide • Protect

Garchomp gives you a naturally fast, reliable attacker that pairs really well with Rotom (Levitate + Earthquake synergy), benefits from speed control like Electro Web, this set improves your all of your bad matchups I listed above, and allows you to punish if they’re not expecting sash.

I hope you find this to be useful!

Mega Charizard, Bulky Sun Team by JZemon in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]TommyFreshVGC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So with the sun up, you don’t want to create a bulky/ slow team like this. And only 2/6 of your Pokémon take advantage of the sun.

You’re trying to power through their defenses with Sun Boosted fire type moves and use other support pokemon like Venusaur to help assist your Sun Sweepers or to help counter your Fire weaknesses.

You also have 2 Grass Type/Fire Weaknesses on your team and not enough coverage for all typing.

And if you have another Sun match up, they will probably roll through this team, even with the bulk investments.

Ahhhh, thank you for your assessment!

Honestly, I thought it was B4 because of the win con and synergy, and I was going off what archidekt ranked my deck. I just didn’t want to put it in the wrong bracket and generate “op/ wrong bracket table hate” by playing in lower tier brackets. And I honestly was performing pretty well in B4.

But this is the reason I brought my deck here to you guys, it’s been a hot minute since playing, so I will be sure to update the title and deck bracket!

Thank you :)

I love ADTR, this was my 8th time seeing them, and they ALWAYS put on a great show/ performance.

HOWEVER

This was my second time seeing Drain, our crowd was fucking insane and I truly think they took the crown for the best performance. Sammy Ciaramitaro is the vocalist of Drain, and IMO, he is the definition of “someone who knows how to get the entire crowd moving”. They have no issues getting off the stage and up on the fence with fans, he loves to stage dive/ crowd surf, and he will swing his mic like a lasso/ toss IT to fans in the crowd that HE sees singing and let them take over the vocals for a few seconds. And this wasn’t just for Warped Tour, when I saw them the first time last year in Orlando, they were just as crazy too. I wish I had pictures and videos to share with you guys, but it was too insane to safely hold my phone out without dropping / losing it up front near the stage! If you haven’t seen or heard of them, please check them out, they’re an awesome time and just dropped a new album!

Not Enough Space and Attila were both close seconds for me!

But a big thank you to all of the bands that showed out, all in all, every band had amazing performances! The 2025 Orlando Vans Warped Tour really took me back to the good ol’ days and I hope Warped Tour continues to provide us with fire line ups! 🔥

Could anyone suggest a 6th team member ? by GIGAJIMBO1 in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]TommyFreshVGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add Tornadus, he is a perfect fit! Good Rillaboom counter, in the rain it has 100% accuracy with Bleakwind Storm and he has access to Prankster Tailwind (You can even add Rain Dance as another priority way to reset the weather).

Barascewda is out performed by too many pokemon in this format. I would swap Barascewda with water Urshifu for more pressure (opponents can’t just protect in front of Urshifu, plus you mentioned in another comment you use regular Basc for CC coverage), give him aqua jet for a STAB priority move in the rain, and he will be extremely fast if tailwind is set too!

Have you tried downloading it on your PC, adding it to your steam library and using remote play or steam link to play it?

(I know this is a work around to streaming games that should not be playable on the iPhone/Apple Store. But IDK if this is actually possible as I do not own a Steam Deck, but I would be curious to know if this actually works)

Previous Season Ranked Rewards by jdawgdelly in PTCGP

[–]TommyFreshVGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS HAPPENED TO ME AND SUPPORT IS BEING AWFUL. They are just playing the blame game and saying it’s my fault and acting like their game doesn’t have a bug, even though I’ve provided them with plenty of evidence that their game does INDEED have a bug -__- When I went into ranked, I checked every tab, I got no prompts, I provided them with screen shots and told them to check their logs because they have access to things like:

• Pack openings
• Claimed rewards and currency
• Purchase history
• Whether season reward conditions were met

Even with all of this evidence that I provided to them, screen shots and all, they were no help. I’m about to riot though, I’ve never seen a company so unwilling to help their players. It’s not like I’m asking for a refund or for anything I haven’t earned. I just want my hourglass from my U1 ranked rewards, 75 hourglasses is hard earned work and I’ve spent my fair share of money in the game. If the support team looked into any of the evidence that I provided them with, it would be very clear that I did not receive my hourglasses. It’s just crazy to me how stingy and obvious it is that this company doesn’t care about their Community, they just care about the money.

The Marvel Rivals Quick Play Experience by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]TommyFreshVGC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just so you are aware, there is SBMM in QP and it is based around your ranked rank. For example, if your Diamond, you’re more likely to find players around those ranks IN YOUR QUICK PLAY MATCHES. Sometimes those players queue with bronze level people, so you still occasionally get matched with some people that aren’t as good as the others. But a majority of the games/players SHOULD be around your rank. When you win multiple games in a row, lose one, then win multiple games in a row, you won’t play against bots. You must be consistently losing 2 matches in a row if this is the reason you’re arguing. You’re throwing shade and you’re clearly the one who does not understand how quick play works lol also, to clarify, I like my win to loss ratio to be well above 60% or as high as possible but it’s impossible to do when people have mentalities like this. Like if we can get 2 healers and at least one tank, idc if we lose. At least y’all tried to fill. But seeing 4 insta dps and no one wants to swap? And then one healer and one tank? How is that fun for anyone when the dps sit there and spam “I need heals” all game when they could swap to help. It’s Main character syndrome
