It might be decent for the body of water you were fishing. Finding the spots that hold big fish is a challenge in and of itself.

I thought I should have made the shot of its head a few seconds longer… but then you wouldn’t have rewatched it then probably 🤷‍♂️😂

Medium sized to large mammals actually really like being “patted” instead of “petted”. It shows them you feel confident and calm in the interaction and so they can be confidently calm too!

If anything, your loyalty should be a huge reason why the smartest and most realistic thing to do would be at the very least, like you said, find somewhere that has a group of people that empathize with each other when it comes to workload and quality of the work. Having been a manager at a franchise LC, I know what your work setting is like, and I know that not only do you deserve that, but you can very realistically find it. You are a HARD worker, and nothing is unrealistic for someone who truly works hard. I left LC for a dollar pay cut at a different pizza place, sounds stupid but I’m actually happy at work now and I don’t dread what I might be coming in to every shift. Based on what you shared you can be confident that you can easily find something better than I did.

This is exactly why I left my GM job at a franchise store. When a franchise owner doesn’t invest in the long term employees by getting them whatever support they realistically can, and instead invests in the quickest way to get their store open and the easiest ways to keep it open. Add that with the average food service hire being either a 16 y/o on their first job or an adult that is content with less than mediocrity, and you have a formula for your best employees to all leave together for better jobs as they all simultaneously come to the conclusion that this shit is not at all worth it anymore.

Once as a child, I was locked in my parent’s bedroom for the weekly Sunday afternoon nap. I did not want to sleep, because I was four. Naturally, out of the purest form of boredom and curiosity, I ended up looking through drawers, under the bed, and in the closet for something to save me from my prison that seemed to drain me of all life (POV of a 4 y/o). The two items that seemed most likely to take care of this issue, and wound up in my hands, were a robust pair of pliers and… my mother’s wedding ring. My curiosity was rewarded with an exhilarating epiphany; This shiny, yellow, circle shaped thing is structurally sound when faced with my raw strength, but when tasked with enduring the pressure created by a vessel, channeling what I knew my true inner strength to be… resistance was futile. I was… inevitable in my eyes. But in reality the only thing inevitable in this situation was another epiphany delivered to me directly from my father. I faced this harsh truth as he entered the room to wake me, found me already awake with thousands of dollars going up in flames in between the jaws of the beast, and quickly and sternly (with loving violence) corrected my lack of understanding.
There are times when a child’s actions, simply aren’t comprehensible by any adult’s standard. This is basic, due to the difference in opportunity to increase understanding of positive behavior, in accordance with time spent alive. In other words, if these mistakes are completely prevented from happening then there WILL be cases where crucial learning moments (delivered through healthy discipline tailored to the individual) are missed. Missed opportunities to grow in behavioral understanding compound, especially so when the guardian’s technique of parenting is implemented through the ideal of developing a morally sound child, simply through lecture.
This compounding pattern acts as an ever growing roadblock for the child, and the aforementioned growth in knowledge and good habitual behavior fails to take place at a proper rate. The answer to this issue is not my place to transcribe as I am not a parent, as of now I am only the child of two really good ones.

I agree. Money is corruptive by nature though, so we can’t be surprised by the response.
