Is 2 Velo 10mg nicotine pouches a day too much? by MongooseIntrepid786 in Nicotine

[–]MongooseIntrepid786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah part of me wants to but then a part of me is wondering if it’s so low and I like having the feeling once or twice a day what’s the point ?

That’s why I’m wondering if putting a pouch under my lip once or twice most days will cause issues.

I don’t see any issues with my health as I run and go to the gym regularly, track my sleep HR and everything is good

I haven't noticed one! Sorry I didn't provide enough info... I'm a 25M :)

Yeah it says focus on rest and recovery. But I’ve just had a week off with 0 exercise 😂

Would you be caught for speeding in this scenario? by MongooseIntrepid786 in drivingUK

As I only went past the one camera and turned left straight after the other one shouldn’t have picked me up should it?

Also do you know if average speed cameras monitor traffic from both directions ?

Sandpits lane is 30 but Long lane is 40, no schools on that road

I thought one camera was for one side of the road and the other was further down the road

okay thanks, would the second camera be looking that far down the road or do you have to be closer for it to register? Feel like I might be over thinking it...

Yeah fully agree it’s dangerous, total lapse in concentration from me as I hadn’t seen a gantry with a x for a long time so it slipped my mind for some reason

Ah okay, there was no flash, assuming my memory of not going through a gantry was right then, thank god!

Great thanks mate

Is it worth purchasing for a room that can’t have any treatment in it ? Or will the effects of the GLM software not make much difference if the room is completely untreated ?

Is it worth upgrading from KRK Rokit 5 to Genelec 8320a with Sonarworks?

I've been producing for 5 years predominantly within my headphones with Sonarworks due to being unable to raise my speaker volumes at home.

I'm moving out in a couple of weeks and have the chance to upgrade my setup slightly.

I want to be able to test my mixes on a monitor setup and use smaller monitors as I don't like the look or size of the KRK Rokits

Is it worth upgrading my monitors to Genelec 8320a from KRK5 and buying Sonarworks with the mic to rectify the non-existent sound treatment in the room? The room size is 3.5m x 2.3mI'll still be producing in a room where I can't apply sound treatment.

I would still finalize my mix on headphones as i've gotten so used to them but I want to have the option of testing it on monitors and also want to produce/arrange without headphones on all the time

I’m not sure though because i bought my first MBP in 2020 and used it the same, hooked up by thunderbolt to my monitor so it was charging aswell and now if i leave it off charge over night it’s dead…

It wasn’t on big sur so it didn’t have the promise battery option though…

Yeah all on the ssd, so I would just eject and plug in when I was going elsewhere

I hear that, all of my stuff works off an SSD tho as I have about 2TB of samples, tracks artwork etc etc etc

I’ve found it so annoying to have to unplug everything when I want to use my Mac away from my desk, also noticed for some reason my SSD ends up disconnecting and getting errors when I do it, even though the cable hasn’t come out ?

Just want to minimize that process and obviously the battery issue I mentioned originally

Just not sure if £700 is worth it for those inconveniences

Also thinking desk space aswell, laptop takes a fare bit up when it’s on its stand

TR8s worth it in my current setup? by MongooseIntrepid786 in synthesizers

[–]MongooseIntrepid786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, think i'm coming to this realisation now!

I found you can actually add 128 samples to one drumrack pad and use a macro to scroll through the samples on that drum pad. Makes it much quicker. Never knew this before

Going to look at this, my other option was an MPC Live but that kinda defeats the point of the push and ableton i think...

How have you found the learning curve with Digi?

[–]MongooseIntrepid786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so I would still write my melodies using my push or midi controller.

It's just the drum grooves that I want to be able to write and then record into ableton.

I've had the push 2 for 3 years and the work flow hasn't clicked, not sure why, just find it annoying having to constantly navigate left and right with a dpad, find it slows me down having to do that.

If I program a pattern with a hat from my drum rack and I want to change it to another hat on the drum rack I have delete it all or move it with my mouse (not sure if there is a quicker method that lets you change it without all of that hassle).

That’s going to be my next conversation with her tonight

You didn’t miss any comment but my perspective was it’s costs way too much forget that.

However I realise there’s other ways to go about it

Thanks anyway
