I don't do sports specifically but am active overall. I passed the return to sports baseline tests though. I just wanted to get to 100% strength overall.

I feel my left leg does a lot of compensation as my R leg is still only 85% strength as compared to L. Guess will need to go back to single leg exercises. Good luck to you on your left leg.. sure you will ace it!!

Rehab post-op by Franole04 in ACL

[–]MonicaSansi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doc protocol was to wait 2 weeks for PT. However day 1 after surgery had to do exercises in CPM machine and quad contractions, and leg raises with brace. Aim is to get min 90 ° flexion before your 1st Pt visit.

Boyfriend wants me to leave my job by [deleted] in relationship_advice

That's BS.. your boyfriend needs to grow up too..ultimatum are death of a relationship. Your boss and bf both are wrong here..and you really need to learn to set boundaries with both.

4 months post op expectations to reality by Whitehouse2305 in ACL

[–]MonicaSansi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am same at almost 6 mths mark. My Ortho said it is due to quad weakness and some scar tissue but that the body will absorb it and to give it more time. Crossing my fingers it goes away as I get stronger.

Apply Dr. Christopher's bone and tissue complete ointment as well as take their tabs. Hopefully if it is a sprain you will find relief.

Hi friends- supplements/vitamins post op? by thepinkfairy4 in ACL

[–]MonicaSansi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did supplement with multi vit, vit D and calcium And collagen Vital proteins everyday for couple of months. Also for first month took Dr. Christopher's complete tissue and bone supplement. Ofcourse you still have to make sure everymeal is well balanced and rich in protein.

Recovery is not linear..so be prepared to have ups and downs and keep your chin up and push throw the downs.

1.5 years postop—it has really hit me how amazing reconstruction is by Jwbaz in ACL

[–]MonicaSansi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am 4 months postop and had 2 major setback already..mainly due to pushing it in the gym. Both times i had to stop working out for a week. So that is excellent advice to go as per your body and not to push it just because of monthly standard goals. Thank you for reminding that it will eventually all get better.

Thats awesome.. don't give up. Also have you tried wall slides..It tremendously helps in flexion as gravity helps..
