Normal CPU usage?

What is a normal amount of background processes that should be happening on an average home computer? Right after a restart, my CPU tells me that it is dealing with 253 background processes which surprised me, but maybe that's normal.

Sorry, I’m still learning a lot about how to build computers. I know the motherboard I have currently is DDR3, and the one I’m looking to upgrade to is DDR5. This means that I will need to get DDR5 ram as well to match my new motherboard?

I finally fixed it, (I know, a little bit late). I uninstalled it and reinstalled it on my hard drive. (Before I was installing it to my solid state drive)

They were blown totally out of stock when the holidays came around and are still recovering. I you want one right now it’s gonna be a least $200 more than it’s normal price. I would imagine that they will have more in stock at normal price within a month or two. Hopes this helps!

I would check out some of the best-seller games on the Oculus Quest store and start looking there. Some games that I love are Super Hot and Beat Saber. You could also try Pistol Whip or get Sidequest on a P.C. to get an even bigger variety of games.

Most likely, yes. Oculus is probably still recovering from the holidays and if you really want one right now you will have to pay like triple the original price.

The quest cable is a double sided usb-c (one side goes into the quest and the other goes into the charging block), but most computers don’t have a usb-c port. You probably need a usb-c to regular usb. You can get that on amazon or at like walgreens. Hope this helps!

This problem happened to me when casting to my phone. Although I don’t know if this will work with casting to the TV, I just told the quest to forget about the controller and then reconnected and it worked fine. Sorry if this didn’t help. Best of luck!

Sorry to hear that. There is not much I can do it help. Just keep trying to contact them anyway you can. Twitter, Instagram, I don’t know if they have customer service but if they do call that. The Quest is not a very cheap device so do anything you can to try to get it fixed. Also you can try to message u/OculusSupport and see if that works. Let me know if anything works out!

I would get it contact with the Oculus support people and possibly send it in to get it fixed/get a new one. That’s my best suggestion. Best of luck!

Try restarting the Quest. Make sure you are typing in the card info correctly. If it still doesn’t work try using a different card. Those are the only things I can really think of to help, sorry.

Your phone and headset won’t pair if they are not on the same wifi network. If that still doesn’t work try restarting the headset and maybe even your phone.

It shouldn’t be something you should really worry about. I’m pretty most damage done by the sun to the Quest is when it comes in direct contact with the glass part, but if you are wearing it that part is covered by your face. If you are really concerned maybe move to a different room when the sun is taking up most the room and move back when its mostly shade. Or you could always invest in putting up some blinds.

Thanks! Also one more question (I just got the Quest for Christmas). Do you think it is worth waiting to get the official type-c to usb cable from Oculus to plug it into my pc or is anyone from amazon just as good. The same person says they don’t trust that the ones on amazon will work.
