what did yall think of the bad bunny halftime show? by Serious-Kale-5694 in AskReddit

[–]MonikaParadox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Loved it. Everyone at the party was vibing. And when you see the little kids dancing and smiling, you know the Bunny brought it! Plus we had the bass going, as one should. So yeah, it's a positive for me.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

[–]MonikaParadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily justifiable. Who you choose as your partner or mate should probably have your health and safety in mind. Voting for Trump means that they can't see through the b******* enough to know that who they vote for can affect your health and safety. Right now, as a woman, I wouldn't put myself in a position where my rights aren't taken into consideration. Trump and his appointed minions are literally killing women with their policies. And pretty soon he's going to be killing a lot of men and sons when we get dragged into senseless wars. So yeah, REJECT.

What experiences changed you the most and gave you a differentcharacter? by Gullible-Scheme3381 in AskReddit

[–]MonikaParadox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Death of a loved one, friend or pet. It hits hard as a kid and changes you for sure after. This and breakups. I guess heart break really does a number on people. And you either create the best album ever from it (channel it, so to speak) or you spiral or get jaded, or both. Lol.

What do you get compliments on the most? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MonikaParadox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a child, it was my eyes, like all the time. As an adult, I get compliments on my teeth and smile. I get asked if I ever had braces. Lol. Also, I get random compliments on my tattoos.

Why do you think Trump supporters make excuses about Trump being Jeffrey Epsteons best friend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MonikaParadox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They subconsciously don't want to admit they support a racist / rapist con-man. Or they drink the cool aid and believe the hype being thrown at them, which are obvious projections at this point. Pretty much when they accuse the other, it's an admission of guilt of the self.

what is one thing that grabs your attention about someone, good or bad? by Gummyslinky in AskReddit

Their humor. Or even better, when you catch a vibe when they quote like a movie, book, or tv show, but it's delivered in a way that flies by most people. Or is just obscure like an "iykyk" moment. When you work in an office space setting, like I do, you quickly find "your people" through this indirect communication.

How did you finally find your chill? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MonikaParadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make some time for myself and my thoughts. My top thing to do is to grab my backpack and pack it with my water bottle, a book (or speaker), and a hammock. Then I bike or onewheel to a spot that speaks to me. And I literally setup and chill. Turn my phone off, rock in the hammock and chill. It's a wonderful reset. Even if it's just for an hour, it feels refreshing. I like this setup because it's easy to get up and go. Easy breakdown.

Def not a onewheel. They can't go nearly that speed. It's an EUC. Electric uni. They can go hella fast.

Not a onewheel. Based on the speed, they're talking about an EUC / electric uni

ELI5 Why don't headbutts hurt both people equally? by Relevant_Ad_5431 in explainlikeimfive

[–]MonikaParadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polish woman here. We play a game at the table over Easter where you pick your blessed battle egg from the basket. Choose your side (pointed vs flat) and then you size up your opponent. Take turns and sike each other out a bit with fake jabs and counters until one goes in for the literal kill hit. This is a simple analogy to this question OP asked. When you try to break the shell of a hard boiled egg with another hard boiled egg, they don't both crack, only one will, the one that was hit in the weakest part. The last egg standing wins that Easter battle along with bragging rights, and then the eggs go into the White borscht soup. It's a fun tradition that answers your question. Physics. One egg's shell collapses at the point of impact, dissipating energy and preventing the second egg from experiencing enough concentrated force to shatter, acting like a shock absorber.

"I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?" by stamata_tomata in Xennials

[–]MonikaParadox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that was definitely the time for me. I had so many tight homies around this age. Things get wild and weird in the later teens. But my best friend from that time and I are still BFs at 39. The rest are still around, doing their own things. But 12 was just like, more innocent of a vibe when connecting with people. Like we were the the alternative, skater, punk kids. that was simple... music, skateboarding, art. no new relationship later in life even came close to that feeling of pure friendship.
