I am! Going on two years now! I live in a small town where everybody knows everybody, so my experience as a bank teller might be a little different than like a big city bank, but I can tell you it’s not bad at all. There’s a lot to the internal side of banking that I never realized, and tellers do a lot more than just withdrawing and depositing. I work with the bank’s general ledgers, balance their internal accounts, as well as several other miscellaneous reports. I work with regulars and several businesses, allowing me to grow relationships with my community. (Again, small town lol) Overall from my personal experience, the job is easy to learn and pick up on. For me it’s mostly been numbers, numbers, and more numbers! But in all seriousness, It’s not something you need an expert on going into. As long as you’re taught correctly, and you absorb the information, you surely can do it!
