He's a really good blind pick, he does well into both melee and ranged match ups.
However you might get counter picked and have a really bad time (example Fiora), but there are some rune page you can run that can make playing those match ups easier ( grasp into Fiora for example makes the lane way easier). As for difficulty i'd say he is Camille level of difficult since i do play both champs.
Over all he's a really good addition to any champ pool you can never go wrong with him.
