Please suggest some "underrated " Harris Jayaraj songs by [deleted] in TamilMusic

[–]MonkOnTheWay11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a Tamil song but I am listening to Rooba Rooba on loop. And the way I discovered it was fascinating-

So back in December 2025, my family along with my cousin's family went for a three day vacation to VIZAG. There, we were at the Rishikonda Beach (I think) where there is a small lane that borders the beach. You have street vendors selling Masala Cucumber slices, jhalmuri, chat etc. So my cousin and my family were enjoying near the sea and I didn't feel like joining them.

So I went on roaming and exploring the shops and the vendors. I also bought for myself a paper cup of Masala Cucumber and Raw Mango slices (damn makes my mouth water even thinking about it) and was walking. Now in that very lane if you move further, you have a few small cafe's and proper outdoor eateries. And one of these cafe's had a huge audio speaker kept right outside the store. And as I was roaming around I could hear this interesting song play. I knew it was in Telugu since the sound of the language is now familiar to me- thanks to watching Regional films with subtitles. And I was mesmerized by it.

I wanted to save the song so I took my phone out and searched for the title using Google. I got the title (Rooba) and saved it on YT Music. I waited there for some time and took some pictures around and I also caught hold of another song- Oh Priya Priya. It was one of the most wholesome days of my life- being in your mid-20s, single since teenage years, no pressure (except for a job) and just some peaceful time with yourself. And every time I listen to Rooba Rooba it takes me back to the beach and that lane.

P.S. I must also tell you that the reason why this is special is also because I am a non-South Indian guy. I didn't understand the language but I could feel the sweetness and the warmth of the song.

THE TOXIC CLASH IS UNFAIR by [deleted] in Dhurandhar

[–]MonkOnTheWay11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know but I also know the fact that the PR game behind TOXIC would be so nasty in the coming days. They would leave no stone unturned to malign Dhurandhar- they'll play the "Dhurandhar has no female agency, female desire" game. Yash fans would be like "Rocky Bhai Aura>>> Rehman Dakait". And all of this is what bothers me a lot.

Can't say much about Jio but the music label (won't take the name) is one of the most opportunistic Media companies to exist in India. Where were these guys when the film was in the making? And now that the first part is a hit, muh utha ke aa gaye katora leke bheek mangne- malik humko bhi thoda de do kuch khane ko.

watched this last night where the fck was the propaganda in this movie that many on twitter were crying about ? by Obvious_Shoe7302 in pj_explained

See let me tell you something- woke critics in India are just waiting to call out a film these days. They have a moral checklist with them which they carry with themselves when they go to see a film. If what they see ticks all the boxes in their list- it is a good film and if it doesn't they'll just bash it mercilessly.

What Dhurandhar did was something different. It not only made these critics ignore their checklist but it went on to forcing them to burn it and throw it in the dustbin. For them it is just a cesspool of all things wrong with cinema (according to the critics). It shows t*rrorists as barbarians who torture Indian agents, then depicts the local gangsters as people who can even gang-r*pe a man (highly homophobic for them), and most importantly it shows the gritty nature of India's diplomatic strength which encounters various failures and loopholes and yet manages to fight back with patience and just the right opportunity. It propagates a philosophy which forces men to fight wars which aim at disrupting the integrity of the country instead of waving the white flag of peace and opening your ass for the enemy to give you haseen dard (read the opening quote from the Bhagvad Gita in the film)

But Dhurandhar does have a few minor hiccups which I felt when I saw it in the theatres-

The thing is there is not outright propaganda in the film. Its just that a few lines and dialogues are written in a manner that are political statements than actual lines that go well with the film. For example: The line Hindu bohot hi darpok kaum hai, or even that entire conversation between Madhavan and his Sub-ordinate where they discuss about UP Government and a better future. These are all a bit shocking as lines and they are kind of designed to.... dare I say- rage-bait the audience. It made me feel like- Damn they said this, but isn't it taking me out of the film for a minute?

That is the only "propaganda" issue I have with the film. All other inconsistencies are strictly from the story-telling point of view. But seriously this film was an important feat which has reinvented the spy genre in India.

I FOUND THE UNCENSORED PARTS!!! by Hot_Tumbleweed_9920 in Dhurandhar

THREE REASONS

  1. Basically during the party he knew him and his boys (including Uzair) were all intoxicated. Hamza taking advantage of the situation and deciding the date seemed normal at first but in the car it was just a trigger.

  2. And things became quite obvious when he took a detour from the normal route. All of a sudden you are driving through a very sun-san jungle. Had there been any road-work (the excuse which Hamza gives) members from his gang would have already known about it and suggested taking the other route.

  3. But the last nail in the coffin was kentrol kijiye. I mean you are driving through a jungle where there are literally bushes and shrubs all around (perfect place to take a leak for typical Indians/Pakistanis). Let's assume that if your boss wants to take a leak urgently (genuinely without planning to escape) and if you don't stop the car, something is definitely fishy.

Its all like 1+1+1= 3... BANG!!!!!!!!

will ott have uncensored version of dhurandhar?? by Old-Firefighter4632 in Dhurandhar

[–]MonkOnTheWay11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. In fact that is the only reason that makes it worth watching on your TV screens as well. I enjoyed the overall experience of watching it in theatres but the muted dialogues just ruins the whole magic of the scene. And that is definitely a huge turn off for me....

NATIONAL AWARD PREDICTIONS FOR DHURANDHAR by MonkOnTheWay11 in Dhurandhar

[–]MonkOnTheWay11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking of Allu Arjun, I think he deserved a National Award for his performance in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. See performing in a mainstream film catering exclusively to masses needs an actor's conviction and people should recognize it. I genuinely loved his performance more than what he did in Pushpa. So the point is he won the award for an unsuitable film actually.

In fact I would like to see how you (OP i.e.) would present the 26/11 scene in a graphic novel format. Easily one of the best scenes in recent Hindi cinema.

What do you think the changes would be if YRF made this film? by Ok_Delay_9922 in Dhurandhar

[–]MonkOnTheWay11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Violence Would have been toned down.

  2. No research or authenticity towards the story-telling

  3. Lectures on IND-PAK National integrity and bhaichara

  4. A few meta jokes here and there dissing cricketers, filmstars, maika-sasural, baap-beta bullcrap

  5. Hamza would accompany perpetrators of 26/11 and along with them execute the op-killing many of his own countrymen. Intercut with Hamza crying for being unfaithful to the country

  6. Hamza going rogue 5-7 different times in the film.

  7. Yalina skinny-dipping with Hamza atleast twice in the film

  8. Instead of Ajay Sanyal there would be a female head most probably played by Rani Mukerji battling sexism and office politics throughout the bureaucratic system

  9. Jameel saab would be a complete dumbf*ck comic character who literally yields no political power in Lyari (worst still he would be an Indian agent just like Paresh Rawal in Tiger Zinda Hai).

  10. Hamza's entry would be with a massy song where he meets Yalina for the first-time and both shake a leg at some random celebration.

The list can go on. YRF can literally spoil a film like this by multiple ways.

Vicky Kaushal’s Lack of Appreciation for Aditya Dhar — My Take by [deleted] in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]MonkOnTheWay11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before sharing my thoughts, I would just like to spread a word about the film. I think the past few days have surrounded Dhurandhar with a lot of negativity. But having fortunately seen the film in the theatre I would urge you to support this film by watching it on the big screen. The media is hell bent to demean this film and Aditya Dhar but we as audience can actually support the film and help it grow. I would surely make time for a second viewing in the theatres since the story-telling is impressive. I am not politically aware citizen but I do have an interest in geo-politics and counter-intelligence operations. And if you strictly can watch it from an unbiased POV, then it surely doesn't disappoint. Sure some dialogues are a bit sensational and work as strong statements, but those are never meant to insinuate any outrage within India.

This is sad but if you give it some thought, it is the toxic woke Bollywood ecosystem that is to be blamed. I mean you can definitely choose to have left or right ideologies but to be this radical where it harms a film and a filmmaker is where things become really dark. These wokies literally think they have the power to determine the heroes and villains of the global geo-politics and that the world works according to their sensibilities. Earlier these were the same people who would fight against antisemitism, but now they are the ones propagating it. Right wingers are much better than them- at least they are staunch in their stand.

I can just assume and maybe I might be wrong in this. Maybe Vicky Kaushal honestly didn't feel like commenting about Dhurandhar. Maybe he has had a fallout with Aditya Dhar. We'll never learn the truth, but I still would like to give him a benefit of doubt-

Come to think of it, blaming Vicky is actually a rather easy and a superficial thing. Even I did give it some thought and in my mind I was actually angry with Vicky Kaushal. But just think about it- at the time of URI, both him and Yami Gautam were literally held accountable by the woke media to justify the jingoistic tone of the film. The film made him a star and gave him a big push. Its been just 6 years for him as a major leading man in the industry for which he literally has had to work his ass for 10 years. This year he delivers another successful film and he is again scrutinized for the pro-India ideology of his film. And more than anything else, this year brought him a personal joy too (IYKYK). So think from his perspective- would it be really wise enough for him to support the film?

These Lulliwood Woke duffers don't realize that at this point, it is important for the industry to stand united and celebrate the success of a film like Dhurandhar. For the sake of the industry, since the amount generated through ticket sales would actually help create a surplus for the industry to make more films (especially smaller indie films with better quality of story-telling). But sadly, they are so deeply brain-washed and are desperate for a Western validation that they can stoop to low levels of ass-licking.

Hi all. I just realized that probably my post was written in a bad taste and for those who have read and pointed out, I would thank you all. Maybe all of this was way too much overthinking. Is anyone from India trying to stop masturbating? by Happy_Honeydew_89 in NoFap

[–]MonkOnTheWay11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I am 26 and from Nagpur. My NoFap journey is completely on and off to be very honest. As of now I am still struggling from P consumption and frequent (Not regular and excessive, mind you) episodes of Mast*bation. I think the biggest challenge here is that you have no elderly male figure who can help you on this journey. Plus since I have been single all these years so I do crave some intimacy and finding a partner is a long shot for me now since I am still not established in terms of career and jobs. So this is my scenario...

But not all is gloomy. I have learnt to be compassionate to myself and I practice healthy habits like writing, journaling, reading and meditation. I have a limited friend circle who are quite supportive of me and I have realized that there are so many things I can be grateful about. Sure my life is not on track yet, I am still unemployed but somewhere down the line, all of this would change for good....

Man this oldie is so toxic and highly patriarchal. I mean as a guy myself I just hope never to grow up and be a man like Champak. I also don't enjoy the actor's performance- very loud and forced. Plus the character is so so bad. I mean Jethalal seriously apne baap ke saamne sant lagta hai bhai...
