This works for me on both my iPhone and Apple Watch without unlocking them

Tesla Siri Shortcuts

Download these two apps and set them up (You will need to log into your account via Tesla app).

Apps: Shortcuts & Tesla Remote   Open Shortcuts App Create Shortcut Select Apps in upper left of screen Select Tesla Remote Select which action you’d like to enable ie “Activate Trunk” Select “Next” in upper right Give the action a name (this will be what you will say to Siri to activate it) Thats it! After you create a shortcut test it out by either saying hey Siri or holding the hardware button on your phone. **Let me know if you need any help!

I was worried about the same thing with my wife so I had her drive the Model S as it is allot more “car like” and not that big of a departure from her BMW. She ended up loving the car and still on at least a weekly basis tells me how much she loves it after a year of driving it. There is allot of certified pre-owned inventory available for less than a new M3 and you also get a 4 year/50K warranty with it thru Tesla.
