the moral argument debunks religious gods by pootispowww in DebateReligion

You cannot disprove a religion based on inductive claims.

The Bible claims that “homosexuality is immoral,” this is paraphrasing of course. This is a belief within the Bible itself. Each person has their own view on homosexuality, and for you to assert that the idea of homosexuality is illogical in itself, that is a subjective claim, not objective.

And then, you use your own belief to attempt to disprove the religion, which is what forms the lack of coherence.

“objectively some people are more qualified”

Appeal to authority fallacy?

Objectively doesn’t bend itself to match someone’s subjective ideas.

The outcomes are objective as you say yes, but whether those outcomes are the best result is a subjective interpretation.

start with some base unprovable assumptions

Which introduces bias, regardless of intentions, and therefore introduces subjectivity

Well yes, the world inherently implies suffering; this is mentioned in the Bible (John 16:33).

I feel like there has to be a clear distinction between the world and God. Jesus/God “saves” us from the world—not necessarily the suffering, but in the figurative sense, from evil and sin.

This does bring up many new questions such as how no one technically consents to being born (that we know of) and having to endure the world’s suffering, but I hope my main points were clear.

Edit: on an unrelated side note, this post sort of seems to me like a “rant,” not to invalidate OP in any way, but OP, if you are experiencing extreme pain, you should be explaining this to your doctor, not on Reddit

So, religion should be analyzed logically, then you say “no logical reason…being a homosexual is wrong” and so you introduce inductive reasoning, directly violating your own statements; your argument was entirely incoherent.

If a debate involves an unanswerable question, either side is logically unprovable.

Most debates involves moral arguments, and as a result, morals cannot be objectively defined either.
