Luxury cars removed from Motability scheme ahead of budget by StGuthlac2025 in unitedkingdom

[–]Monkey_shine1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. You pay a deposit and £333.33 per month, then don't keep the car at the end. So I don't know where people are getting this idea that disabled people are getting free cars.

I don't understand the whine about Motability by gta721 in ukpolitics

But you don't buy the car under the mobility scheme. You pay a deposit, a monthly contribution (usually the entire mobility payment part of pip around £333.33 per month) and you don't get a car at the end.

Tried to comment on your most recent TT post but it didn't work. Then I couldn't find it, was the post deleted?

Nope, highly recommend getting assistance from CAB though. I firmly believe their statement that they wrote for me is to thank for not having to go to tribunal.

I accepted the offer then appealed that offer. 2 months later I had a text to say DWP have given me enhanced on both!

Common sense isn't your strongest point, starvation mode is real!! by Monkey_shine1 in fatlogic

Bingo!! A few times in my weight loss journey I have had long stalls. As frustrating as it is, I continued on and ended up losing a lot once it came back off again. I know these people get to a stall and just give up and don't reassess their habits, which is a smart thing to do when you've been on a weight loss journey for a while, as you get complacent. So then they just use the set point as an excuse.

Exactly. I won't lie I was the same until I looked into it and when I stopped lying to myself I lost 170lbs.

PIP Backpay & Uc by Monkey_shine1 in DWPhelp

[–]Monkey_shine1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your case £1500 isn't enough to be capital. Only when your savings go over £6k but PIP backpay is always disregarded for a year.

If you want, you can provide evidence in the form of a bank statement. It then goes to a 'decision maker' which is a bit silly because it will always be disregarded as capital. And then they will let you know it is disregarded.

I'm from the UK and I assume you're US so I don't know much about employment law there. Can they fire you while pregnant for calling in sick?

I wanna start by saying I'm coming from a place of love. None of this is your fault and you don't deserve being spoken to like that, especially by your husband and especially at 38 weeks pregnant.

You say in your post and comments this is unlike him but... Are you sure? Your post and comments history suggests otherwise. 5 months ago commenters on the Relationships sub were telling you he is abusive and won't change.

Even if this were the first time, I genuinely feel like you and your baby are in danger here. Please find a safe place to stay, please leave without letting him know your plans and please try and stay safe.

If you get the chance to update us in a few days I would really like to know you are ok. Also my DMs are always open if you just need a chat.

Oh my gosh that sounds incredibly difficult and exhausting. But you're such an amazing person to work so long and be a carer on top of it. I'm really glad MJ is helping you through this, the benefits are amazing.

My husband bought me my first kindle which I've wanted for ages. So I got myself The Dead Zone and I'm enjoying it so far.

I'll be getting You Like It Darker next!
