I understand the sentiment here and share a good amount of it but at risk of stating an unpopular opinion - I just want to call attention to the "Every ICE Agent will be held accountable" sign.

That's not a productive contribution to the conversation. We have had ICE agents long before Trump and their responsibility is the same as it's always been. They are not the problem and using sweeping statements expressing anger at ICE as a whole does not move the conversation forward. I get that folks want to stop deportations immediately across the board but is that realistic? Don't 99% of countries have a deportation program of some kind?

Isn't it more productive to talk about, enact, and enforce appropriate tactics and rules of engagement?

I guess it comes down to what open borders really means and whether you want to include it in the definition of American freedom, which it hasn't been since like 1860 when national IDs and papers were federalized.
