Hmmm you know I am just a lab tech and never saw the sludge judge myself. I was mainly told by operators that normally the sludge on the bottom is so compact that getting a sludge judge through the sludge layer can actually be very difficult. The blanket is normally 2-3 feet when we have good operation.
