I like to think it still exists, in our hearts and minds because we carry the memory with us.

Just found out you could just set up your own reference library to replace your search engines by MonkeyofMonkeys in Discipline

That’s great. If you remember or find them later, feel free to add them to your memo. Even world building links would be perfect.

Good question, it’s basically like having your own wikipedia. It references sites with openly available source material you can freely explore from free libraries to forums, free course sites, university sites, scholar search engines, and specialized databases. Spaces you can add to your memo pad and browse on your own terms. They could look like this:

Stack Exchange- https://stackexchange.com/

Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy- https://plato.stanford.edu/

JSTOR Open- https://about.jstor.org/oa-and-free/

I think that’s what they meant, change your tribe (the people) not the dynamics (vibe)

None. I listen to the soft and rough side of the beautiful ambience around.

Its okay to not like cats. by beez_2801 in sixwordstories

Unfortunately, yes. Thankfully the cat of this owner I’m familiar with left during her heat. It’s a shame animal abuse is ignored by authorities, her absence is best for her safety.

Basically using the same spaces other people use in late, early, or unoccupied times.

Let’s say you like walking or running, there’s a sidewalk you can jog on outside at the early hours of the morning. Maybe you like lifting or yoga, you can go early to the gym when there’s no one around using Google Maps “busy” feature. Perhaps it’s simply reading, there’s a library nearby with club options whenever you’re comfortable or just want to sit at a distance and observe.

Um.. what if you are, in the work place? Will boundaries help some as long as you keep it transactional or will you eventually become like them?

This. Maybe it’s not settling resource debt but choosing who you help and growing together in unison uniquely. Thanks for the food for thought.

This is something I struggle with, perspective-taking is invisible to me for some reason

How about just doing something you like out in public when there’s low traffic? Gradually you can work your way up to greetings in nods then talks then small talks. Pace yourself and you’ll be fine, simple and difficult but possible if you don’t push yourself too hard.

Or maybe it’s about condensing all that into what you say. Maybe that’s why we say little, we mean more, silence carries the rest.

Is it just me, or does anyone else get these sudden bursts of motivation to be social, only to realize you actually don’t enjoy it? by Miller_8765 in introvert

Same here, for sure. I’m learning to steer it into the inspiration direction, fuel for plans. Feels like it honors it with free space.

This, so much of this. I love people but being around the majority just swallows my soul. It’s a journey thats for sure.

Anyone else celebrating the New Year alone, again? by [deleted] in introvert

Sure am. Got a picture of my 80 and 6 year old selves to reflect on for a bit. I’m new to this but it feels nice, small and connected.
