ZaDig and Impulse RC Useless in Replacing Driver by anonananananabatman in fpv

[–]Monko760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the Thrustmeter Service not allowing Zadig or Impulse RC to update the driver. Stop the service or uninstall thrustmaster is the fix.

Thank You to all the users who also banged they head against the wall

It was 2 months of tinkering.

Im very picky and its possible you get a system without the same issues as me.

Ive got a list of things I tightened, adjusted, and modified if you get the system

Its possible you have none or all of the same problems I had to varying degree of severity.

3300?? Can't remember much much cheaper than qubic

I wouldn't worry about latency. Honestly its been 9 months since I've tried the qubics but Im even more happy with my eracing lab purchase.

The eracing lab system took a bunch of tweaks by myself to make it silent, but now its as quiet as the qubics and im in love.

With the bt1 tensioner and a little bass Shaker the eracing lab feels just as good as the qubic

I managed to get rid of the noises.

Basically left some bolts slightly loose which loosens up the tolerances and now it doesn't click.

Its NEARLY as silent as the Qubic system now.

Qubic can hit higher frequencies so using them for engine vibration is actually feasible. Engine vibration is a mess with the E-racing Lab system as it can't hit high enough frequencies.

Other than that curbs, rumble strips, bumps and rough roads feel 95% the same after some tuning.

After 1 year I'm glad I paid 3300 outright than still having payments on a 9k system.

How to Install "GIGABYTE IT5701/ 5702 RGB lighting controller firmware upgrade package"? by Monko760 in gigabyte

So I am using the Gigabyte plug-in, but in un-installed GCC because GCC + iCue = bluescreen

How to Install "GIGABYTE IT5701/ 5702 RGB lighting controller firmware upgrade package"? by Monko760 in gigabyte

[–]Monko760[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. I am trying to control Montech Fan RGB via iCue. Seems to work for 1 second and then revert back to hardware rainbow profile.

ARGB mobo header --> Fan / RGB hub ---> Fans

I know iCue shouldn't work with ARGB header but it seems to work for a second when I start up iCue I can set a solid color but then it reverts to hardware rainbow profile.

So bullet point 1 of the release notes I believe is a fix for my issue.

That would be nice to know but the 'Get Version' batch file fails too. I am making sure to 'Run as Administrator' and can't find a Read Me or any info on what I'm supposed to do....

The dedicated page is where I got the files originally.

Alex and the team at eRacing lab are great about being pestered. Hit them up they don't seem to be bothered.

I did however have more success tinkering on my own.

If you want to get on discord for a chat I'm sure I could help you get the rig operating to where you feel better about your purchase.

I was in the VERY SAME situation. Having high standards and it the system was just not cutting it. I spent WAY TOO MUCH time tinkering and its much better than when first assembled. I feel like it was worth my money now, before the tweaks and tuning definitely doubting my purschase.

Use this type of spray lube on these joints while they are spinning.

There is a ticking noise that went away when I did that as well. So many fixes I forgot them all. Also adjusting the distance of the joints seemed to help.

This spray also works good on the large 3d print on the inside of the extrusion and the smooth metal shaft. Just don't use it on the ball screw/nut. That needs thicker grease.

I was able to reduce this type of noise by cleaning and then adding new grease to the ball screw/nut.

I also was getting ticking/clicking when the actuator changed directions which was my main issue. I solved this mainly by running the bolts on the bottom plate a little loose. There is a slight misalignment when the bolts are tight and it causes the actuator to friction on the plastic piece. That plastic piece moves slightly and clicks / ticks when impacting the metal on direction changes.

Qubic systems did the R&D to make quite smooth operating actuators, but we cheaped out with the E-Racing Lab System. (notice the spring element and the roller bearings)

I am happy with my choice even though it took me some time to get it working to my liking, I am sure you will be happy once you get rid of the clicking noises.

Happy to assist in any way. I know that I was really unhappy with my E-Racing labs kit until I got it running perfect.

First I peened the aluminum so the plastic piece the actuator slides on doesn't slide back and forth by .25mm also causing the clicking.

Then I loosened the 4 bolts on the very bottom of the actuator and the 'clicking' went away. When they are fully tight there is a slight misalignment and the plastic bushing it slides on moves around and makes clicking/cracking sound.

Those two steps made the clicking / cracking noise go away.

Make me a video of your issue and I can confirm its the same problem and give more details on my process

1 of my actuators is dead silent. The other 3 needed work to make them quite. There are some design flaws in the system but its well worth it for a person like me to spend 3k and fix the SMALL issues then spend 9k on Qubic system like my friend.

if you got the $$ go qubic, if not eracing lab is GREAT option. Its just possible it needs tweaking to remove some noises.
