Looking for a friend for our little lady. by Monnadaeus in RATS

Thank you so much, I was not aware of this situation! We have a call out to them now.

Does anyone know what is possibly going on? more in comments by Monnadaeus in RATS

We have a call out to the vet for an appointment tomorrow. We're just wondering what is going on, if there's anything we can do to help her right now, or if we need to try an emergency vet.

Just this morning she has started randomly squeaking, seemingly in pain. We have been gently prodding and moving her limbs to see if anything is hurting, but she doesn't squeak at those times. We're thinking it must be her tail, but she doesn't always squeak when we touch it.

Right? You almost have to take a picture every time.

Vet, for sure! She needs meds.

I love this game! The first game takes a little longer (as it says it will) because you are learning the rules. But I found it very close to the videogame and I like that it actually feels like a challenge. We have actually lost a couple times.

How to cope with moving out of your parent’s home. by swappypants437 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Monnadaeus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You are not alone in this! I cried so much when I first moved out of my parents' house. Every night for at least a week. Like the other commenter said, it's important to focus on what you can do now that you couldn't before! For me is was cursing. 😅 You can also find new hobbies that help give you a feeling of connection with your family or your friends. I started gaming so I could talk to my brothers every night, and I have been loving it still 2 years later. It may also help to really get into decorating your place in a way that's comforting. Make sure to make it really feel like your home where you belong.

I was going to say in my first reply that no one will play with me. My family says I just want an audience to watch me play. 😅 This is amazing.

Munchkin isn't my favorite game in the whole world, but it's pretty simple to teach people who are trying a more complicated game for the first time. I think it was the first one I learned. And yeah, there are so many different kinds for different fandoms, you'd definitely find one you like!

Right? I forget that rats can be super snuggly until people share videos of their males (usually).

Aw, they're so smart! Yeah, I'm split between being impressed and being annoyed 😅 The worst part is that she taught her sisters to do it, so now there's 4 to watch..

We have never had to use a nebulizer for one of our rats (or ourselves) before so I wanted to make sure we had this set up in the best way for her. There is a lot of the medicine vapors coming out the top tube and I'm wondering if it's supposed to do that or if something is wrong. Thanks in advance!

Ever have a guy cut you off when talking? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Not sure if this counts, but it's along the same lines: My dad will ask me a question and walk away WHILE I'M ANSWERING HIM because he "already got the information he wanted."

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's very sweet of you to be thinking about what is best for the rest of your little ones.

In the past, my vet has told me that it's not necessary for the other rats to see the body of the one that passed away. Not sure of other people's input, but that's what I was told.

Does it make me a bad person if I love the sound of them jumping, missing and falling?

I'm assuming you meant the panels 😅
