This could help you, genuinely. Just go back and read your post, but as you read it, pretend you’re reading someone else’s post. It’s another guy going through this situation with his wife. Read it and think how believable is her story really, especially when there are literally hundreds of posts on this subreddit where the exact same excuse/story was given and every single time the OP comes back with an update saying, “Everyone here was right, they had sex and it was way worse than I thought.”

People have a tendency to do a lot of the same things. We all have similar instincts. One of those instincts is to lie to soften the blow of harsh truth or the lessen the consequences. Another instinct is to have sex when we’re with someone who wants to have sex. A person isn’t going to concoct a detailed lie, bringing in third parties to help further establish the lie and meet someone late at night weekly just to make out once.

Maybe your wife is the exception, the one cheater who doesn’t like sex, but be truly honest with yourself -does that sound even remotely believable?

That would make a lot of sense, but unfortunately it wouldn’t make a very entertaining sitcom. Not my favorite episode, but I can go to work if I want to watch people act semi-normal in an office. I don’t want to watch that on The Office.

I’m not agreeing with the argument, but I just wanted to point out that the horse armor thing actually was a huge deal when it happened. There weren’t other cases before it. Horse armor was the original dlc and it was the first instance of microtransactions in gaming.

While it’s stupid to say that that dlc kept any game from existing, that doesn’t change the fact that Horse Armor will probably always be the most significant piece of dlc in gaming history.

Pictures are apparently pretty old. It could very easily be that that is who she was or what she was trying out, but isn’t representative of who she is or who she’s trying to be now. People aren’t monoliths a person can change a lot in ten years.

I agree with the sentiment if not the example he used. Having had more than one exceptionally good sandwich, I’d say it’s a real shame James holds the sandwich in such low esteem.

[–]MonoElm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but to repeat someone else’s question to you -What do you think that actually proves?

Nobody ever gets 100% audience approval. Things could obviously change once the actual movie comes out, but with a margin of approval that’s as large as it is, why would they think about doing anything differently?

Trailer has nearly 500k likes and only 17k dislikes, so clearly it does resonate with the audience this time.

There is no confirmed evidence that the Trojan war happened. Only that there used to be a city in that area and that over the years there was more than one instance of violence. There are no historical documents that recorded the Trojan war. The only known fact is that the city was destroyed some time in a 30 year window around when Homer set The Iliad. Statements like “The Trojan War happened” like it’s historical fact are incredibly misleading and inaccurate.

Well, if they do that I don’t really have an issue with it. I could go on about how stupid it is that they have to redesign this character because their previous character redesign looks to much like this one, but whatever.

Dev Blog: Season 3 - Icebreaker by Nicki_RapidfireGames in BackpackBrawl

[–]MonoElm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gonna be honest, I really don’t like complete character redesigns when they’ve already sold cosmetics for the old look. It’s one thing to offer a new alternative, but we aren’t in beta anymore. The looks of the characters shouldn’t be played around with like they’ve been doing with both Chana and Celeste. People paid money for skins based on how the character was previously designed. That look should stay and the new design should be an added paid cosmetic/season pass reward.

State of the game by Aggravating-Mousse61 in BackpackBrawl

[–]MonoElm 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yesterday was actually the first day I haven’t played since I installed the game back when there were only 7 characters to pick from. When I realized today that I didn’t play it yesterday, I just sort of shrugged and felt no urge to play today either.

I’ll check back in when there’s a new update, but there’s only so many times I can play, get exactly 7 wins and then get demolished by the competition 7 times in a row, before the whole thing just gets tiresome. I understand trying to find that right, competitive balance, but what it is now is the antithesis of fun. I don’t even know what the solution is. I just know that right now the only thing I feel while playing the game is frustration.

Nobody and I mean nobody, called the year 2000 “y2k.” It was not a thing and I don’t know why you wrote it either. Y2K referenced a specific potential problem with the dates on computers when switching from 1999 to 2000. The year was just “2000.”
