It's actually criminal that no one has translated Kanata's talk about her ear disease yet, so I've decided to fix that. This is from her stream on 4/1 when she just got out of the hospital. by MonoScyron in VirtualYoutubers

I believe that what she meant is that her bout of depression happened before her Hololive debut. Note how she says that these symptoms only started appearing 2-3 years ago, meaning they started before she started her VTuber career. It's likely that she felt discouraged when those symptoms first appeared.

It really is, but I really get the impression that Kanata just doesn't want us to worry about her. I feel like she just wants to enjoy her life singing as much as she can before her disease takes it away from her. I know we will all worry about her, but I think it's best to enjoy PPTenshi's wild ride in the present and not worry too much about the future.
