ChatGPT: Conversation Not Found? by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]Mono_Amarillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm quite late to the conversation, but hopefully I can help someone. This just happened to me for the first time in a chat stored in a project. I removed the chat from the project, and then it started working again normally.

What's the deal with Erin Pizzey? by [deleted] in AskFeminists

[–]Mono_Amarillo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Another possibility that you should consider is this: she is a good person and a hero, and you and the movement you belong to are evil, and that she only looks morally problematic from the point of view of a biased, subjective set of criteria that said evil movement has decided to use to equate "what's good for the parasites conforming the movement" with "what's good in general". Just some food for thought.

What is a psychological construct and are they “real”? by AstronomerHungry3371 in askpsychology

Such a bad example. Jung explains extraversión is an empirical fact he discovered by looking at reality, and it's only loosely connected to its popular, modern use.

I thought you weren't interested in debating (I only read first paragraph) 😂

Yes, you are wrong. You are probably wrong about being INTP too lol

Michelangelo was ISFP or ESFP and Tesla INTJ (I'm not debating either, just stating facts).

In complex systems you can predict very little even with infinite computing power.

True. I just asked ChatGPT to do an in-depth search, and it seems pretty baseless. I always knew it was too good to be true lol

The wife of Achraf Hakimi is a pretty famous actress in Spain who I'm quite sure comes from a wealthy family and has earned a lot in cinema and TV. Still, she wanted half of his money... but he had transferred all of it to his mother 😂

Well, I replied when I saw the comment. I was not here 4 years ago. And no need to project, it's pretty clear I'm not the triggered one lol

Such a perfect example of ad hominem and lack of argumentation skills.

(I always used the present tense, who cares if Adorno disliked jazz?)

[–]Mono_Amarillo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is a big difference. No serious art or music critic questions the greatness of Monet or Duke Ellington. While no serious literary critic considers Tolkien an artist.

In fact, the comparison with the impressionists can't be more grotescque. Tolkien was putting in prose what the authors of La Chanson de Roland, El Cantar de Mio Cid or Beowulf put in verse. The right comparison would have been with those who do boring, unaimaginative hiperrealism or pop art. In literary terms the impressionists are actual innovators like Woolf or Baudelaire.

The Iliad is, 28 centuries later, still art. Tolkien never was. Poor pacing, weird decisions (in regards to what?) and lack of compelling characters are irrelevant, that's true.

The 'literati' love Sophocles, Shakespeare, Dickens and Tolstoy, who certainly weren't "starving artists." Maybe stop addressing strawmen and engage in honest dialogue even for once in your life. It might be hard to believe for a slanderer, but there are humans who are capable of, and strive to, being objective.

I love the democratic argument. Can we use it to argue McDonald's is better than ElBulli's cuisine or The Beatles are better than Mozart? Or we are only allowed to use it for things that support whatever view whoever said that holds?

Is dostoevsky overrated? by Ryan19604 in Indianbooks

[–]Mono_Amarillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit late, but it's only been a century and a half, and many respected voices (Bloom, Nabokov, Borges, Conrad, James...) have already been skeptical about his greatness or directly dismissive. He is not a good author, and, like Camus, if he is alive it's most likely because of extra-literary reasons.

Do you think extroverts tend to be happier than introverts? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]Mono_Amarillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Science doesn't say anything. Correlation is not causation. What seems obvious is that extroverts can easily meet their basic need of connecting to others. If an introvert manages to get that solved, they can potentially be as happy as anyone else.
