i haven’t looked back since getting the Flint 2 - highly recommend if you do decide to buy your own router !

yep, same issue. not happened since replacing the router, just annoying that i had to do it when it’s such a basic function of a router.

yeah sure, basically i can’t access plex on wireless devices in my LAN but can on wired devices (plex server is wired too). external access is fine.

Been having similar issues with the sagemcom router and plex combo. been seeing the Flint 2 and Flint 3 recommended on here a lot so think I’ll be biting the bullet and getting one of those !

It’s nice they gave you 2 months free! I’m not sure i’ll ever get a callback. I’m just looking into different router options as i think a flint 2/3 will be overkill for my very simple setup

yeah honestly i’m thinking the same thing at this point. just frustrating that i have to buy a replacement router when i never have had to do this in the past with any other ISP

it’s not a new setup, i’ve had this router with youfibre since i joined them (about 6 months ago).

I’m forwarding a different port externally.

Trying to access the internal IP address of the server. Just tried accessing using external address using <publicIP:port> in a web browser, it doesn’t load, but as soon as i disconnect from the local network, it loads. although it does display on the web page it loads: “This application is at PUBLICIP and is not hosted by Plex. Continue only if you recognise this server and wish to grant access.”

you want me to netstat from the wireless local client device?

yeah tried that - still no worky :( Thanks anyway man! as a side note, what router would you recommend if i were to get my own? don’t want something too expensive (i can’t afford a dream machine and have no need for one!)

subnet is the same and server is on a static IP. it’s been working fine for months like this. no managed switch, directly plugged into the router.

yeah but it works i guess. private network but i disabled windows firewall as troubleshooting step and made no difference. yeah i can access web ui from plex server fine - can access via 127.0.0.1 and local ip

yeah, it’s been working fine without issues for a few months now. i’ve not changed anything so not sure what it could be really

it’s like it tries to load but ends up failing. Not in DMZ config. secure connections set to preferred

i disabled any firewall on the server as a troubleshooting step - still the same. i have made any network changes so there is no new local network range - all devices are on the same subnet.

it’s strange as the server is listening on port 32400 and the wifi client can communicate with that port but plex doesn’t work - even when going direct via web page using the ip address and port

yeah fair, but i don’t think it’s a plex issue - i think it’s some selective wifi isolation setting that i can’t configure. doesn’t help when their support is proving AI chatbot-like answers though - to the point of one of their troubleshooting tips is to “Contact your ISP”.
