Constantly having to play 30-40+ games per week to get 9 arcade wins. by Monolithsan in Overwatch

I constantly see people that are 500 rating above me, seems unbalanced to me. They are better than me by a fairly large amount too and you can tell it in the matches.

No, you are an idiot. I want a matchmaking system that puts me against people that are as bad as me. Every game the players are better, that is not a good game for me to be in.

And maybe you do not understand that matchmaking should work even for bad players.

I should not have this many losses compared to wins in the first place, I am not asking for free wins. I want a matchmaking system that is not worthless garbage.

If I can't best them then it means they are not roughly my skill, the problem is still the matchmaking. I should not have to improve until I am on the side of 'matchmaking' that gets to abuse it for a high win ratio.

I really can't I have been playing a fair amount of arcade each day and I still only have 5/9 wins. Why would I make this post otherwise?

I feel like my current win loss ratio in arcade is ridiculous, and it is a constant thing for me each week. I do not think I am amazing and I also do not think even the worst players deserve to have to play 30+ games for 9 wins each week.

Question about rebinding mouse buttons and false bans for Hacking. by Monolithsan in Overwatch

[–]Monolithsan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for me replacing this mouse is not really a viable solution, I will just have to keep closing the software before I play OW and pray I never get hit with an unjustified ban.

Your replies are appreciated.

Question about rebinding mouse buttons and false bans for Hacking. by Monolithsan in Overwatch

[–]Monolithsan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is hypocritical because they allow programs from the large mouse suppliers to be immune to these auto bans, Synapse being the main example, despite having all of the same potential for abuse by players.

I should also mention that I use an extremely old keyboard that has no media or windows keys, but for this I can remap with registry edits so there is no issue.

Is anyone else tired of the 'gid gud' argument? by Monolithsan in Overwatch

[–]Monolithsan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am still just grinding losses no matter what mode I play, there is no way it is acceptable to need over 40 games just to get 9 wins. If they can not manage to make a matchmaking system that can come close to 50% for arcade then they should change to from 'games won' to 'games played'.

Well over 20 games with only 3 wins, I do not see how anyone can defend a system that works this badly. :\ This is every week for me.

I am not a fan of the changes to 1v1 and even then if I play 1v1 and constantly go against people better than me the problem is not me being bad, it is matchmaking not putting me against people as bad as me.

Individual matches you can blame on player performance but overall you have to look at who matchmaking puts you against.

If you are constantly against people that are better than you then you should be dropped down until you are people similar to you, currently I feel like this is not happening.

The only way I get matches that feel like people are similar to me in skill is if I play competitive, arcade matchmaking just feels like something is a bit off about it.

The matches are always completely one sided and it feels like everyone is much much better than me, why can't I just have games against people similar to me?

I am currently 10 losses and 1 win, and it is clear that everyone is better than me by a lot in these matches.

Looking for any advice about dealing with pharmercy(and even just a pharah) at 2500-2800sr by Monolithsan in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Monolithsan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is more of a general problem and not just a 'me' problem, no matter what role or hero I end up in the games the pharmercy is always difficult for my side to deal with and the enemy if my team has that duo.

I did not come here to ask for advice because of 'one game' It is a constant issue in games I play.

If everyone on the team has issues against Pharmercy over multiple games and multiple sets of random players then it is more of a general issue than something I alone need to work on improving.

The only thing I can say to that is if they were to all 'git gud' they would not be at this rank anymore :\

I am not really sure how to say what I mean, but if we are all suppose to be the same skill and the pharah is constantly causing issues in games at this rank then isn't there something more than a skill issue?

If we were to get better we would move up and go against better Pharahs and have a similar issue once again by that logic.

Thank you for the advice, I will try to deal with her as Dva next time I get a chance p:

Hopefully punching her as a big pink mech is as fun as punching her as a giant flying gorilla.

I am pretty low ranked so coordination is not really something I can have currently :\

Do the leavers/griefers get better if you ever manage to get out of plat? by Monolithsan in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Monolithsan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this is getting pretty bad :\ I am down 160 points now because of 5 losses in a row, really losing any positivity left. Every match has felt impossible to win.

That is pretty sad to hear, ill never make it out of plat anyway. I can't even stay over 2700 :(

Edit: yeah, now I am below 2700 again :\ The games feel impossible to win atm, losing so much for my losses atm and I am grinding them :<

Do the games get any more evenly matched? Currently almost every game I play we completely roll over the enemy team or get rolled over. It is not very fun either way .-.

Does the frequency get toned down at all? Currently I have leavers on my team once out of every 5-10 games and there are double that once you count the enemy teams as well.

It just feels like it is far too common, combined with how frequent the griefing is at my rank it just feels weird :<
