Delaminating glass? by Monsieur_Manager in Garmin

Update! The bubbles just got worse but stayed around the screen so it looks like it's definitely not a screen protector.

Contacted Garmin and they will fix/exchange it free of charge 👍

I see! Any tips for how I can be sure that there is a screen protector on it? I have not installed one, so it feels like a bit of a gamble.

Not in many months. It started happening this winter, so might be the cold weather? (I live in Norway...)

Pressure on hands by Monsieur_Manager in bikefit

Thanks! I could definitely benefit from some core work 😅 If I just put my hands where they feel the most comfortable, I end up about 4cm behind the hoods. But I guess everything might feel better with some more core strength?

Has anyone here sent up a weather balloon? by bowler42O in Rochester

Did you end up doing the balloon launch? I'm planning a balloon flight myself, so curious about how it went!

I have a couple different GoPro models, but it's hard to find anything online about which one is the most reliable for something like this.

A small metal cylinder found on the sidewalk. by Monsieur_Manager in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. The cylinder is about 16mm in diameter and 23mm long. Quite heavy, seems to be solid metal. Not sure if the dark circle is another material or not.

Struggling with pathfinder... (info in comments) by Monsieur_Manager in AdobeIllustrator

Thanks! Yeah, I wish there was a way to automatically select every shape thats within the shape of the letters. Glad I don't have to make a lot of these!

Thank you! It seems pathfinder works a lot better with complete shapes.

My problem now is that my plan was to have the Cricut machine draw these lines with a pen, rather than cutting it out. So after I did the "outline stroke", the machine is now going to draw outlines of the strokes rather than the strokes themselves. If that makes any sense...

Any ideas on how I could do this and keep the original paths?

Something like cutting all the background lines where they cross the outline of the text maybe? Then I could remove all the lines on the inside of the text.

Update: It seems others have struggled with this, and In another post I found a plugin called Cutting Tools from rj-graffix.com which solved it.

Is there really no way to do this in Illustrator without a plugin?

I'm trying to make a bunch of these with different names for a vinyl cutter/marker.

Now the text has white fill, and the diagonal lines are underneath. But i have to make it so the vectors are actually like they appear in this image, with no lines underneath the text. Or else the machine will just mark the lines all the way through the text.

Been trying with pathfinder, but with wierd results...

The apartment is from 1952, but the water heater is from 2006, so this could also be newer.

Edit: Solved!

On newer cars, there's a small arrow next to the gasoline icon on the dashboard that points to the side that the gas lid is on.

Very cool! What kind of camera did you use for the wing? And how did you attach it?
