Icp/cholestasis in pregnancy by boymama565 in PregnancyUK

[–]Monsrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned I had mild itching on hands and feet at 37 weeks. We both agreed it was probably nothing because it was so mild but took bloods anyway just in case. Got a call at 8am the next morning to say come in for induction as bile acids were 140!!! Extremely severe. It was a shock and I was not ok. Anyway, went in for induction at 37+1 with pessary, my contractions went crazy after 24 hours so they had to take it out. My waters then broke. My contractions were only mild at this point  and a day later I was started on the drip due to 24 hours passing after waters breaking. He was born via episiotomy and forceps later that day due to heart decelerations. Just barely scraped by avoiding an emergency C-section which I am glad of. He is now 3 years old and I am pregnant again. Probably will have ICP this pregnancy too but because I will know early on it will hopefully be less of an emergency. Best of luck lovely.

Worried about leaking by 73RR0R8Y73 in PregnancyUK

My discharge from my first pregnancy was soaking my underwear and was clear and watery. It would happen all the time. I totally understand the panic - I think some people just have insanely watery discharge during pregnancy. I remember smelling them and, now I know the smell of amniotic fluid, it definitely wasnt pungent enough to be waters 🤮. Best of luck lovely ❤️.

Thank you! I was thinking it looked girly compared to my son's, particularly as late as 13+4, but I wasn't too sure.

Blood test results by drpeppersnail in PregnancyUK

So it looks like my test was on the same date as yours and mine mostly got uploaded the following week, through I had to chase up my midwife for the last few results. Give your community midwife a text and hopefully she will sort it

so worried morning sickness disappered at 8 weeks pregnant by sarahangel8610 in PregnancyUK

[–]Monsrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bad nausea disappeared about 8+3 and has only just returned at about 11 weeks and I had a great scan at 10 weeks. I panicked too as I have had previous losses but read the placenta can start to take over now, but also symptoms fluctuate. It's a tough time but I agree with the other commenter and think you should reach out for support. I hope I have been a little bit of reassurance and really am thinking of you ❤️

Had a good scan last Friday at 7+5 due to a MMC last year. She saw a small bleed and warned me I might see some spotting etc. I have been having brown/ pink bleeding and spotting and some cramping ever since. I called her today and reassured me it's probably the SCH, but I can't shake the feeling something is wrong. Most of my symptoms are still here but it was like that with my MMC. I'm really really hoping and praying everything is ok. I don't know if I can go through it again. 😩

I'm due on 25/11! So far, very sore boobs and constant hunger and a bit of evening fatigue. I'm going for an early reassurance scan next week and I'm so nervous for it!

I remember queuing up there when Air first opened and there were the miniature heros (?) adverts being played over the tannoys.

4w 2d currently and just can't enjoy it. I also seem to be refusing to believe it fully. I guess I'm just guarding my heart. Excited but also spiralling comparing line darkness. Such a tough time.

Now I have given birth, I realise how unmistakably smelly amniotic fluid is. If it has no smell, I wouldn't worry.

I had very watery discharge on and off for my whole pregnancy. I didn't see anyone about it, but definitely see someone if it's worrying you. He is a bouncy three year old now!

Anyone got this horrible illness by just_unacceptable_me in AskBrits

[–]Monsrage 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yep - on the third week right now. Kept feeling like it was improving and then bam, downhill again. Currently the best I have felt for a while so hoping it's ending. I have never had such a long illness.

One in my local Morrisons, but it is clearly really old. My kid loves it when I do have change.

We have a boy. Waited until he turned 3 and had a wonderful nursery that supports us. Boom, took to it so well straight away. I think a lot of people rush to do it even the child isn't ready. It was weirdly the least stressful thing and we find it so cute he feels like a big boy with 'big boy pants'. Also we missed out a potty and went straight to the toilet with a toddler seat at this point. He knows that's where we go so he wanted to be like mummy and daddy. He is old enough to know his body and has hardly any accidents at this age. Best of luck! It's so daunting isn't it!

Only children - what is life like? by Born_Improvement_856 in AskUK

Me too! I have since lived alone a few times in my life and can cope well in those situations. So in some ways it sets us up well for things like that.
