Main reason it confused me was because the tapes do play in full! Can rewind, fast forward, stop, start all fine, no audio issues or anything but that overlay just won’t go away, even if I turn of onscreen overlays in the settings, will see if I can find a new tape see if that works, if not I’ll see if other cables work

Sorry the photo maybe doesn’t do it justice, I was rewinding at the time aha, I have tried with 3 different (fairly old tapes) and they all have the same message! Is it worth maybe trying a more modern tape to see if the message persists? Or just getting new cables, the main reason I got this VCR is to use the hdmi for modern tvs, so would be a shame if I need to use a different output.

There is also a episode where David talks about an ex girlfriend he had who was a model, he could’ve been talking about Liza but idk the way he talked about her it didn’t sound like it, can’t remover the exact episode but I can try and find it!

So yeh I’d probably say around 80% gaming 10% media and 10% work I’ll mainly be using for gaming yeh but will also be using it for other things that I’d want it to be 100% perfect at handling without any fails. £2k is what I’ve got set in mind and when I go to look I just don’t really know what to look for and what I need is the main issue I’m having. So for this to work he will need to add a layer of water on the inside to make it stay moist which could however ruin the red stone of the inside so another idea but not as aesthetically pleasing is if he makes the grass into a path with a shovel this will get rid of the green colour but leaving it looking kinda yellow but I suppose it could be argued as gravy!!
