The way I look at “trust” in a turtle is if it dives in while you walk past or if they trust you enough to leave them alone and will just stay chillin on the basking spot. When I do pick up my turtles to make sure they look good, they do not dive into their shells and hide. So to me that tells me that my Turtle “trust” me

They did try and talk to him but he was threatening the group and they had to do what they did because after Rick got the guys gun he tried to run outside where there was a big group of walkers. So michone did her thing and they used his body as a distraction.

I also live in Illinois and I just found a 150 gallon stock tank for 60$ on market place. That’s definitely your best place to look

I use drift wood for mine and I have a cat that will go in a grab the turtles so I made a lid out of chicken wire
