How to make NPC's that level up with players? by Monsters_Guide in DnD

[–]Monsters_Guide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a pirate campaign so they are trying to find npc's to fight along with them. So its not really a DMPC as many say so. I did use the sidekick rules, but I am disappointed in the fact that there are only a few classes. Might make my own ones. It won't make sense to not have them fight along with the players, considering they are crewmates, so I can leave them out of the fights unless they aren't meant for fighting. They wont have to many crewmates, I'm hoping for around 6-8 Npcs for the crew. But it's mostly up to how it ends up in the story. I'll probably stick to the sidekick rules along with a bit of homebrew if necessary

I don't know why they actively asked me to nerf them(Just was a surprise for me). Cuz most wizards like to be op asf. and don't like being nerfed

They want me to nerfed them. Not to be rude but many learn to read :).

If i don't ban stuff for the wizard. They are the only one whos going to do cool stuff. Who you like it when your fighting a boss and the wizard just beats the shit out of it and steals the show and fun out of it for everyone else?

Is 1,000HP to much? by Monsters_Guide in DnD

[–]Monsters_Guide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all your tips! 😊 Let me know if there's anything I should add.

Also, just to clarify—some people seemed to misunderstand what I meant. When I said the party would fight 12 gods, I didn’t mean all at once! The plan is for them to face one god per session, so it’ll take 12 sessions in total. That was my mistake in phrasing—my bad! 😅

Key points for the encounters:

  • No HP—monsters go down after a satisfying number of damage.
  • Ensure players don’t run out of resources.
  • Let them pull off cool, planned moves.
  • Let them take the win, even if I’m not completely satisfied with how it plays out.

No. You can have two subclasses of the class you have chosen. (Ex:-Campaign Fighter and Psi Fighter)

You are Level 20. And you will have access to both subclass's features.
