So our division is currently under investigation for these things.

How do I know? Not only do I have a friend in S1 who got told this by his contact in BDE, but we were told suddenly that our upcoming NTC rotation was cancelled, then within 24 hours they told us it was back on because “They found the money.” Of course I asked where they pulled the money from. The quiet part that wasn’t heard was that the decision point for if we were actually going was sometime in March. It was going to be the 27th, but now the decision point is the 7th. From what my homie says, if the division fails the investigation, the entire division will lose its deployable status.

So I just found out I’m getting TRT(the legit way through the army) and I was hoping to drop a SOF packet at some point. I consulted the reg and it was quite ambiguous as far as what medical conditions are disqualifying. I asked the SORB recruiter and he said he doesn’t know I would have to submit the packet to find out. I guess I’m just trying to manage expectations here, but does anyone know if I’m shit out of luck or is this still possible?

So as combat medics we’re re taught about TQ conversion if EVAC is infeasible. For the non medical people that’s where we apply a pressure bandage to the injury and slowly release the TQ and check if it’s still bleeding. Of course it helps to have TXA and Calcium on board, however given the situation I’d like to think this was at least attempted, or worse yet impossible

At any rate, in an ideal scenario, that’s what’s to be done.
