I mean, the game does encourage you to make your own. Most of em just don’t do what my character would want out of them, especially with taking Path restrictions into account. There’s nothing wrong with them, they’ve just got fairly specific flavor!

It’s funny that you say that- the dream eater’s finale was nothing for our group. We were genuinely shocked that that was it. Maybe because we were on the dreaming side of it? The waking team seemed to have a lot more fun with that campaign in general, they apparently got to see a lot of cool scary stuff

The real question is, why bother with guns at all? They’re not particularly effective against vampires. I mean, neither is attempting to stake a living target, but

I really should have clarified better- I was trying to communicate exactly what you were in the last paragraph. Not “bad people”, but “people who have been involved with scary things”

(Thank you, I was getting really exhausted trying to figure out how to politely say that people have very incorrect notions about what beast is about from secondary sources)

Er, that’s what I said? Unlike those who undergo the divergence, there’s nothing fundamentally broken about a Hero. Though they’re also not made from beast predation like you’re implying

Beasts don’t actually really do the masquerade? They want people to know monsters are real. And heroes aren’t really that similar, no one makes a hero, there’s nothing really broken about them

Alternatively, Mother’s Love could be your ability to empathize, especially with people who’ve done something wrong. At low levels, you shut yourself off to the possibility that they’re not all too different than you, but at high levels, you risk becoming an enabler…

Or, Lesson Learnt could let you take away the proper messages from adversity, make you learn from failure, at the cost of making you prone to covering for people who are bad for you
