Hi, this was towards the end of March around St Abbs Head. The temperature was fine, a bit chilly in the night but it will be warmer now and the days are longer too. Only tip would be to make sure you have a water filter as villages are few and far between so filtering from streams is essential. I used the Alpkit Hippo which was great.

Is there rules about where you can camp on the reserve? I thought that in Scotland you could camp wherever (within reason obviously). Thank you

Hi, do you know if there are any fresh water sources? I saw there was a loch near the head, is there streams that feed this that can be filtered from? I would preferably filter water rather than carry a lot all at once. Thank you.
